This dog believes the Governor with outlast them all and get re-elected to keep his job for 4 more years….
The Justice Department has dropped its inquiry into allegations that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo botched the handling of the pandemic in nursing homes and undercounted deaths in them by as much as 50 percent. The feds had asked for information from the state but, based on what was reviewed, have decided not to open an investigation “at this time,” they said in a letter to Rep. Lee Zeldin, who is gunning for Cuomo’s job. Zeldin blasted the DOJ, according to Bloomberg, saying in a statement that it “has now chosen to willfully participate in the effort to deny the public answers and accountability.” A state probe of Cuomo, which includes the nursing home scandal and sexual misconduct allegations, is still underway…
I think he would be doing a disservice if he ran again in NY…His scandals and nursing home are big liabilities in the burbs…Dems will keep leg for sure…but governorship I worry if it is Cuomo…not sure who would be his replacement on the Dems side, but Cuomo has a lot of high negatives now, more so than in the past…
Andrew is at around 45% to 50% which is were I think he was last election….
I think he’ll come out dirty but keep his job and get re-elected…..

They are attacking AG James, who COULD actually run for Cuomo’s job if he was displaced ….
…In recent days and weeks, the governor’s communications team has sprinkled comments about any investigation-related news with assertions that James — the first Black woman to hold statewide office in New York — is using the probe to launch her own run for governor next year, when Cuomo may seek a fourth term.
“The continued leaks are more evidence of the transparent political motivation of the attorney general’s review,” Rich Azzopardi, Cuomo’s communication director and a senior adviser, said in a statement after news of the governor’s interview emerged in The New York Times.
By Wednesday, the jabs had become so blatant that fellow Democrats had started to cringe, and the head of a separate legislative impeachment investigation sent Cuomo a very public reprimand….

Assembly Democrats in NY are NOT in a hurry to get rid of Andrew Cuomo…..
State Assembly Speaker Carl E. Heastie on Friday said that the highly anticipated outcome of an attorney general’s investigation into myriad issues plaguing Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo may not be enough for the Legislature to begin an impeachment proceeding of the governor.
The speaker’s remarks drew an immediate rebuke from an attorney for one of the multiple women who have accused Cuomo of sexual harassment. That attorney summarized his remarks as a “cover up in progress.”…
