And ex-American President continues to condone violence and even a possible insurrection effort….
(The arrested number is 500+ and Congress is about to produce a report on the days action’s which had some people looking to ‘go after’ Trump’s Vice President, and possibly hurt him and left 140 cops assaulted )
A Republican one who tried his best to benefit from it….
America 2021….
Donald Trump keeps trying to bend the American government to what he get over with….Power and Taxes and even how the government works….
Make America Great?
Trump continues in his alternate reality universe ….
Former President Donald Trump on Sunday widely praised those who attended the Jan. 6 rally that preceded the insurrection at the Capitol, repeatedly using the word “love” to describe the tone of the event.
Echoing his rhetoric about the 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va., Trump said, “These were peaceful people, these were great people.”
Speaking on “Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo” on the Fox News Channel, he also said the rally participants were patriots, that some of them were unjustly arrested and jailed, and that a woman who was shot and killed by law enforcement during the insurrection was a great hero.
The remarks reflected recent efforts by Trump and his supporters to cast themselves as the aggrieved parties from the Jan. 6 riot, which left five people dead and others injured — and, for a brief time, halted the wheels of democracy as President-elect Joe Biden’s victory over Trump in the Electoral College was being confirmed by Congress.
Trump’s reference to “great people” was similar to his remarks after the fatal confrontation in Charlottesville. “You had some very bad people in that group,” he said in August 2017. “But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides.”
In his interview with Bartiromo, Trump said those at the events of Jan. 6 were loving people who wanted to save the nation.
“The crowd was unbelievable and I mentioned the word ‘love,’ the love in the air, I’ve never seen anything like it,” he said of his rally on the Ellipse. “That’s why they went to Washington.”
He added: “Too much spirit and faith and love, there was such love at that rally, you had over a million people,” inflating the size of his rally crowd….

Donald Trump,Republican.
Reflecting the view of most Republicans .
Where’s the surprise?
Zreebs says
So Trump blames Pelosi for the violence, but exonerates the rioters. And I assume most Republicans will agree. Beyond pathetic.
Scott P says
Every Republican who kisses Trump’s ass–which is just about all elected ones–need to be asked if they believe Ashli Babbitt was a “hero”.
I would bet the answers you get from most of them would make great counter ads to the predictable “GOP is the party of law and order” crap they’ll try to pull next year.
jamesb says
Scott?
Look at the NYC incoming Mayor
Looks like the Dem’s ARE gonna be the ‘law and order’ party…..
CG says
It seems like it might be said that Bloomberg was a Democrat who used the Republican label in order to get elected NYC Mayor and Adams is a Republican who is using the Democrat label to get elected NYC Mayor.
Scott P says
Eric Adams positions on affordable housing and the environment would get him labeled a communist in today’s Republican Party.
CG says
And Bloomberg was a heartless capitalist, etc.
jamesb says
Mike Bloomberg did THREE TERMS
Rudy dud two and got turned down for a third RIGHT after 9/11
He, he, he
I kept telling u guys Rudy was a dud
Nobody here believed me
Heck?
Even Trump felt that way after spending time with guy
CG says
They changed the law for Bloomberg (not that they should have) because there was time to do so. Had there been time to change the law for Rudy to run in 2001, he would have won in the biggest landslide in City history.
jamesb says
CG?
They did NOT change the law for Rudy because as I HAVE said to you he was dog shit BEFORE 9/11 and for New Yorkers?
He was STILL dog shit , like he is now…
No amount of outside talk is gonna change who Rudy was and IS….
Bloomberg got what ole’ Rudy couldn’t get….
CG says
You are in your own world when it comes to 2001 and other various matters.
jamesb says
Ha, ha, ha…..
Again?
The guy WAS Dog Shit and IS NOW Dog Shit…
New Yorkers knew it….
CG says
At that specific time, his job approval ratings were in the 80s and and he was the most popular person in the country. We were all alive back then.
Things are very different now of course. Alcohol can do that to someone.
jamesb says
Lets remember folks NYC HAD 20 years of Republican Mayors
NY State had Rocky and Pataki.
jamesb says
Great Point CG!
Keith says
Trump went down that road Scott, and all of his fellow Republicans (except maybe two in the House) will follow or remain silent when Ashli was trying to actually do bodily harm to them on January 6th. Pretty amazing don’t you think. The soon to be Mayor of New York has a winning combination. I would hope that some of the more outspoken Capitol Hill Police will at some point run for office.

Donald Trump has completed his journey toward embracing the Capitol rioters
Two sentences from Donald Trump’s interview on Sunday with Maria Bartiromo of Fox News encapsulate how the former president has come to publicly embrace the rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol on his behalf.
The first was Trump’s declaration that those involved were “tremendous — in many cases, tremendous people, tremendous people.” He’d just finished saying that those who overtook the building in an effort to block the finalization of his electoral defeat had “no guns … no nothing” (untrue; a rioter was charged with having a firearm, and people in the crowd had a variety of other weapons, from clubs to chemical weapons) and celebrating them as being “military people, and they’re police officers, and they’re construction workers.” He repeatedly praised the rioters as righteous and innocuous, as being in a “lovefest” with the police officers at the scene who, he suggested, stood by near open doors.
The other revealing sentence came not from Trump but from Bartiromo. As has happened so often before, she offered no pushback on Trump’s claims, abdicating her responsibilities as a journalist and her network’s responsibility to inform its audience to instead bask in the energy of being Trump’s hypeman. But no utterance was more toxic and dishonest than her framing of the death of Ashli Babbitt, the rioter killed as she tried to enter a secure area that served as an escape route for members of Congress….

As Sidney Powell, a former assistant US attorney, became one of the faces of then-President Donald Trump’s campaign legal team, tension unfolded with Rudy Giuliani last November, according to a forthcoming book by Michael Wolff.
During an outburst, Giuliani, who served as Trump’s personal lawyer and has backed up many of the former president’s debunked election claims, reportedly described Powell as “crazy.”
After Giuliani questioned some of Powell’s most bizarre election theories, she snapped back at the former New York City mayor.
“I didn’t come here to kiss your f—ing ring,” she reportedly said.
Wolff detailed the showdown in “Landslide: The Final Days of the Trump Presidency,” an early copy of which was obtained by Insider.
The book goes on to describe how Powell and Giuliani went into separate rooms as Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis sought out the former president to resolve the situation.
“The two of them [Powell and Giuliani] ended up in separate rooms sulking, with Ellis calling the president to moderate,” the book said. “The president made clear that he wanted Powell on the team. He was embracing everybody (or anybody) who agreed that the election had been stolen from him.”
As Powell became more entrenched within the Trump orbit, her conspiracy theories were amplified on a much larger scale….
