The Republican House member Liz Cheney is right in there with the top powerbroker’s of the American Government right now….
Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), garnering headlines this week amid a fresh round of GOP tensions, sparked a rare moment of bipartisanship on Wednesday night.
Cheney, the No. 3 House Republican, was seated along the House’s center aisle and got a greeting from both President Biden and Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) as they each, respectively, entered the chamber.
McConnell exchanged a lengthy handshake with Cheney, who he stood behind against attempts to oust her from her leadership position, by allies of former President Trump. The two appeared to exchange words.
Biden then subsequently gave her a fist bump on his way up to the House podium….
Note…
This oughta make Trump and his people’s skin crawl….

Unfortunately for Liz?
Neither McConnell nor Biden has a vote for Republican House leadership Positions.
Kevin McCarthy ,the Republican House leader ,has lately not has much nice to say about Liz.

Liz Cheney is catching heat from Republicans for playing nice with Biden.
It shows nothing so much as how Trumpized the Congressional Republicans remain.

And Trump is jumping into this Saturdays special election for a House seat in North Texas
What happened to his niece Mary Trump’s prediction that Donald would lose interest in politics? It was much ballyhooed on here and I admit I bought into it. I can admit I was wrong.

Yup Scott….
It’s about Trump NOT the race….
The first competitive special election of the new election cycle has quickly turned into a 2020 redux: It’s the Donald Trump show all over again.
Trump made a late foray in the 23-candidate scramble for a vacant congressional seat in North Texas, transforming a once-quiet race into a major test of his post-presidency king-making power. After endorsing Susan Wright, a Republican activist and widow of the late incumbent, Rep. Ron Wright (R-Texas), Trump joined her and the anti-tax Club for Growth at a tele-town hall on Thursday night to rail against his rival, President Joe Biden, and remind listeners of the stakes….
…
“He wants to be with winners, but he also wants to show that he’s still the leader of the party,” said David McIntosh, the Club president and former Indiana congressman who encouraged Trump to back Wright. “That was our goal — to make it a race where Trump’s endorsement really mattered.”…

Good point Scott. How unfortunate that some folks missed it when they have been so busy promoting the same misconception.
Trump isn’t losing interest for sure since politics may be his last place to grift.

I think it’s more psychological — Since he despises losers more than any other creature, he certainly can’t ever, during his whole remaining lifetime, come to terms with what voters (legitimate voters) decided last November.
(Let alone what an utter disaster his presidency was for his country and his fellow Americans; he had the chance to be a hero, and instead by indifference and inability to accept unwelcome advice caused death and misery to hundreds of thousands.
So he’ll obsessively devote the rest of his miserable life to vindication, revenge and payback. Jan. 6th (Twelfth Night) was just the beginning.

Bingo DSD!
Home Run!
And the sorry part is people are following the guy as his pimps them and their party
My Name Is Jack says
Funny, when I make similar remarks that Trump isn’t going to “fade away “ as you predicted ,I’m met with a barrage of minutiae that proves nothing.
Now when DSD reaches the same conclusion?
“Bingo”
Democratic Socialist Dave says
Hey, Jack, when the umpire says that I hit a home run, whom am I to dispute the officials?
I’m certainly not seeking ejection.

Oh Hell no!
I just find it amusing how James tries to pretend that your views on Trump are similiar to his which, as you and I both know, they aren’t.
I mean I get it.You are more gentlemanly in your posts than I am ,while usually being in most ways as critical of his stuff as me.
In other words ,if I had said what you did above? There would have been no “bingo” for me ,rather a plethora of minutiae from his web trolling to “prove” that Trump is indeed fading away.
Just pointing out his contradictions and silliness.

DSD gave a reason that Trump IS Trump….
That’s trying excerpt his will as a weakness..
Your view seems to be that Trump ‘owns’ the party …..
Something i and others seek to point out is incorrect in our view….
If u look back ?
I agree with U on a LOT Of things
Heck DSD now even knocks me….
I still think Ur good for me here!

Who are “others?”
Anyone here?
Or are you referring to Thomas Williams?
Democratic Socialist Dave says
It’s pretty clear that the New Floridian still has possession of the ball, and it’s well past his side of the 50-yard line.
But we won’t really know until next year’s Republican primaries (if Trump-dominated state parties and legislatures still permit such antique rituals, in place of just having the Republican State Committee choose all the GOP candidates. There’s a reason that progressive Republicans a century ago pushed for primaries instead of simple anointment by Boies Penrose, Mark Hanna and Thomas Platt.)
