Voting rights groups on Thursday night filed a lawsuit just hours after Georgia enacted a Republican-crafted law that gives state lawmakers more power over elections and imposes a raft of new voting restrictions.
The 35-page complaint filed in federal court in Atlanta alleges that minority voters will be hit especially hard by the new legislation, which plaintiffs say illegally suppresses voters’ rights in violation of constitutional protections and the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
According to the lawsuit, the new restrictions are “clearly intended to and will have the effect of making it harder for lawful Georgia voters to participate in the State’s elections,” adding that the measure will impose “unjustifiable burdens” that disproportionately impact people of color, as well as young, poor and disabled voters….
President Biden said Friday that the Justice Department is “taking a look” at a new restrictive voting law in Georgia that he and other Democrats have sharply criticized….

So I want to know if someone collapses in line because of a lack of water and they are unable to crawl away from the line, under what provision of this new law would people then be allowed to then offer them a glass of water?
Is that what southerners mean by southern hospitality?

I’ve never heard of Kristen Anderson.She is described as a “Republican pollster.”Anyway ,while the Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp,aka “The Wimp” due to his servile reaction to being kicked around byTrump(it seems the harder Trump kicks the wimp,the harder Kemp tries to please him) ,surrounded by a slew of White male Georgia “crackas” with a painting of a plantation for background,is signing the blatant racist Georgia voting suppression bill,Anderson is explaining how Republicans are really interested in “reaching out” to people of color.

Partisan takeovers of election boards. Threats to fine county election officials and overturn results. Even bans on giving water to voters while they stand in line.
