Congress need to change the Post Offices pension policy that IS cost the organization YUGE budget problems…
This will no doubt further the big shift that Republicans, conservatives, free-market absolutists and greedy capitalists want from the USPS (née USPO) to FedEX, DHL, UPS and other private shippers.
If the mail-delivery times become too slow and too uncertain, then no doubt (Jack would know more) various legal and contractual requirements to deliver notices by First-Class U.S. Mail will be altered to give equal standing to notices delivered by UPS, FedEx, ( maybe Amazon Prime) & co.
Cf. similar privatizing efforts in health care and rail travel.
But after all, we know that the Post Office was established even before Independence by that notorious radical revolutionary Marxist-before-Marx and Leninist-before-Lenin, Benjamin Franklin.
Secretive Bolshevik agents somehow slipped this incendiary totalitarian post-office scheme (as somehow the true friends of Liberty slept) into the 1776 Articles of Confederation and the Constitution of 1787.

The issue with the Post Office IS the pension system money reserve ….
If Congress got off their asses from this Trump BS and put this on the list of things to correct they could solve the Post Office issue with one vote….
Biden needs to appoint the commission members he needs to send DeJoy packing…
