This is about passage of a budget bill by both houses with a ‘resolution’ to pass the stimulus bill to get it done with a simple vote in the Senate…
The House has no problem passing a bill…
The Senate has to jump thru several hoops….
They now have to put the details together for an actual piece of legislation to pass……
This will take weeks to get to the finish line….

With the budget resolution nearly complete, Congress can turn in earnest to writing Biden’s expansive pandemic relief proposal into law — and push it through the Senate, without Republican votes if necessary, under the special rules unlocked by the budget legislation. Senate Democrats have struck a deal to lower the income cut off for receiving a stimulus payment as part of the coronavirus bill, a Democratic aide confirmed to The Hill.
The decision, which speeds up the phasing out of checks, reflects a demand from moderates to curb the ability of high-income earners to receive the stimulus payments.
Under the agreement, individuals who make up to $75,000 per year or couples who make up to $150,000 per year will still receive a $1,400 check….
