A political legal stunt that should entertain Donald Trump and NOT the US Supreme Court ….
The suit admits there has been any voter fraud….
But asks the court to keep Trump in office so someone can look and see if the voting officials in several states made mistakes , after several recounts to give Joe Biden the win….
Seriously?
Ya can’t dream this stuff up, it’s so full of hole’s….
First this from The Washington Post.…
But the GOP’s new focus on this hail-Mary case is also notable for one key reason: It essentially throws in the towel on proving fraud….
….
The Texas lawsuit, though, effectively acknowledges that that effort has failed. Rather than claiming evidence of proven fraud, it instead claims that the fraud is actually “undetectable,” because election officials made it so by doing illegal things. And that’s why it wants the results overturned.
“Despite the chaos of election night and the days which followed, the media has consistently proclaimed that no widespread voter fraud has been proven,” the lawsuit says (and that proclamation is accurate). “But this observation misses the point. The constitutional issue is not whether voters committed fraud but whether state officials violated the law by systematically loosening the measures for ballot integrity so that fraud becomes undetectable.”….
…
In other words, it’s not saying that Trump definitely won; it’s just saying that supposedly illegal actions make it impossible to determine conclusively that Joe Biden did. And because of this, it apparently argues that Trump should remain president….
…
At the least, Trump’s donors have been sold a bill of goods in those many fundraising emails promising to uncover fraud. And the fact that Trump’s campaign has now signed on to a lawsuit acknowledging the lack of evidence is a clear commentary on the hand it’s playing.
Texas Lawsuit Becomes New Conservative Litmus test
“The Texas lawsuit asking the U.S. Supreme Court to invalidate President-elect Joe Biden’s victory has quickly become a conservative litmus test, as 106 members of Congress and multiple state attorneys general signed onto the case even as some have predicted it will fail,” the AP reports.
“The last-gasp bid to subvert the results of the Nov. 3 election is demonstrating President Donald Trump’s enduring political power even as his term is set to end. And even though most of the signatories are far-right conservatives who come from deep red districts, the filing meant that roughly one-quarter of the U.S. House believes the Supreme Court should set aside election results.”
David Graham: “This embrace of the president’s attempt to overturn the results of the election is both shocking and horrifying… Republican officials have gone from coddling a sore loser to effectively abandoning democracy.”
Battleground States Issue Blistering Rebuke of Texas case
“Each of the four battleground states targeted by a Texas lawsuit seeking to overturn President Trump’s election defeat issued blistering briefs at the Supreme Court on Thursday, with Pennsylvania officials going so far as to call the effort a ‘seditious abuse of the judicial process,’” CNN reports.
“The court filings from Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin come a day after Trump asked the Supreme Court to intervene in the lawsuit brought by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) seeking to invalidate millions of votes in their states.”

About a dozen of these House Republicans were elected in the exact same states they’re claiming had illegal elections.
Are they arguing that their own victories should be thrown out along with Biden’s? Do they think Nancy Pelosi should refuse to seat them in the new Congress?

Supreme Court rejects Trump’s “Big One.”
Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett all refuse to hear the case. (Thomas and Alito dissent on a technicality as it relates to standing)

Basically, the Supreme Court told the Attorney General of Texas, “Don’t Mess With America.”

Their statement though makes it clear the case would have been rejected 9-0 out of substance.

So will Trump try to fire or disbar that ungrateful wench Amy Coney Barrett, after all that he did for her in fond expectation she would do what he saw as her mission: to save his job and his hide?
