Just one week after the United States broke a daily record for coronavirus deaths, it did so again on Wednesday, when officials across the country reported at least 3,011 new fatalities.
Last week’s record — 2,885 deaths reported in a single day — was a milestone because not since the pandemic’s first peak, in spring, had so many deaths been reported. The high point then was 2,752 deaths, on April 15.
As a brutal surge gathers speed across the country, the country went on last week to record its most coronavirus-related deaths over a seven-day period.
With a seven-day average of 2,249 deaths, the U.S. broke the previous mark of 2,232, set on April 17. Seven-day averages can provide a more accurate picture of the virus’s progression than daily death counts, which can fluctuate.
And all the while, the United States is speeding toward another stunning total: 300,000 total deaths since the coronavirus slipped into the country at the beginning of the year and began laying siege. At least 288,000 deaths have been recorded, according to a New York Times database…..

We now have more deaths today than on 9/11. This will continue every day, more or less, for three weeks or so, most likely. I can’t really get my head around it, and I supposed no one can. It’s wrenching and horrifying and enraging.
And while the Hunter Biden show carries on,let’s talk about something important…the hooliganism surrounding the wearing of masks that Scientists(not Republican politicians) tell us that the wearing of mAsks is one of the best ways to combat this deadly disease
Yet consider the following…in Boise Idaho public health officials were harassed at their homes by some “ freedom lovers”banging on buckets ,blaring air horns and sirens and blasting a sound clip of gunfire from the movie “ Scarface.” The officials were attempting to adopt a mask mandate for four hard hit counties.
In Rapid City South Dakota ,the City Council was harassed and threatened over a proposed mask mandate even as ICUs fill with virus cases.
In Helena Montana Republicans who control both houses of the legislature,denied a request from Democrats to require masks be worn in the chamber .

Fight for their ‘freedom’ to get infected and sentence some to death …
