President Donald Trump is a hurt man….
He doesn’t care about his Republican lawmakers anymore….
He just cannot get over the fact that he lost the election a month ago….
He’s been trying to figure out a way yo un-lose the election….
But NO ONE is gonna let him….
The guy just got one miracle ….
THAT was 4 years ago…
His luck has ran out….
One month before a pair of Georgia runoffs that will determine the Senate majority, President Trump used a rally for the Republican senators on Saturday to complain about his own loss last month, insisting he would still prevail and, with notably less ardor, encouraging voters here to re-elect the two lawmakers.
Taking the stage for his first rally as a lame duck president, Mr. Trump immediately, and falsely, claimed victory in the presidential race. “You know we won Georgia, just so you understand,” he said.
Mr. Trump lost this state by just under 12,000 votes to President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr., who won the White House with 306 electoral votes. But the president has persisted in his baseless claims that the final outcome remains in doubt.
“They cheated and rigged our presidential election, but we’ll still win,” Mr. Trump said, offering no evidence but nonetheless prompting about 10,000 supporters gathered on the tarmac at a regional airport to chant, “Stop the Steal!”…
….
The president called the January races “the most important congressional runoff probably in American history” and lashed the Democratic nominees, Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, as “far-left liberals.”
But he didn’t unspool the most biting attacks on them until about an hour into his remarks, and it was later still that he brought Mr. Perdue and Ms. Loeffler to the stage for brief remarks. Mr. Perdue was nearly drowned out by the audience, which showered him with a “Fight for Trump” chant that only grew louder when the two candidates handed the microphone back to the president. The president’s supporters will not tolerate anything less than total fealty toward him….

It’s not even clear what Trump is campaigning for. He’s barely mentioned Loeffler and Perdue and is just talking about himself.
My Name Is Jack says
Trying to cover yourself after you claimed that Trump wouldn’t endorse Perdue because he had made some remarks that Biden was elected.
Nope you were wrong again ,as usual.
Trump told his cattle to go vote. They will.
So now that the excuse that has been given here about Republicans not wanting to anger Trump because he wouldn’t support Perdue and Loeffler(there was never any doubt about that really) is out of the way and we know you are always making up things to excuse the Republicans ,tell us the new one.
Republicans are scared to death of Trump because he owns the Republican Party and most Republicans are still under his sway because they don’t want him to attack them and endanger them politically,In other words, they are just plain old cowards.
Zreebs says
Republicans in 2020 remind me of a woman who is verbally abused in public by her man, lied to and cheated to by their man, but who won’t leave him because they are afraid of what he might do.
Just pathetic cowards with no core principles. And I will leave that understatement as is.
jamesb says
I understand Trump DID ‘mention’ Perdue and Loeiffler…
He talked for how long about a ‘wringer’ Donald Trump and how long about the two he was SUPPOSED to have the trip for?
Yup Jack …..
Was wrong….
Donald Trump give HIMSELF a ringing endorsement and the others a ‘mention’!
jamesb says
Good analogy Z….
It CONTINUES to be ALL about Donald Trump
NOT the party …
My Name Is Jack says
I think we all agree that Trump is always about himself.
However ,he has made the Republican Party his vehicle and most of the members of that party have acquiesced in his take over.
That is the main point here.
I still think is is incredibly naive to believe that Trump will just “go away.”He won’t.Its not in him to do that.Accordingly, he either continues as the public face and even voice of the party or Republicans have to literally take him on.I don’t mean these occasional pronouncements of “disapproval” at some utterance or action of his.Im talking about a frontal assault on his hold on the party.Until that is done?Trump will remain the key figure in the Republican Party.
jamesb says
I’m sticking the view point that after Dec. 14 and for sure after Jan. 20 Donald Trump WILL lose most of his political juice…
He WILL however have the media trying to keep him going for as long as they can with his crazy assed rants…
He is destined to become a very bitter and resentful old man , who in the end ?
Never understood that you get more fly’s with honey…
Scott P says
Trump was never going to campaign against a Republican in a contest against a Democrat.
He’s a Republican through and through.
However Trump rallies didn’t have great success in electing Republican governors in Louisiana and Kentucky in 2019. GOP nominees that year lost.
I still think the Democrats have an uphill battle in Georgia but Trump rallying his faithful for am election where his name isn’t on the ballot didn’t pay off as expected in redder states before he lost the Presidency.
jamesb says
Yes Scott
Very good point on the failure of rallied Trump events….
Again?
My view is Trump has one political party
Himself
The policy of that party is to make $$$$$
And get people to kiss his butt…
Both goals last night
jamesb says
Gov Kemp was NOT at the event
He had a death in the family….
And he was also fortunate to have tell his ‘party’ leader TWICE he could NOT. throw out the vote and give him the win ON THE PHONE….

The Democrats have a very high hurdle to clear in Ga.:
1.) The Black vote in runoff elections traditionally is lower that the General Election and while Democrats are making inroads in the Atlanta suburbs, without a huge Black turnout there is little hope of victory.
2.)While Bidens victory was a good one in that he won a Deep South State where Democrats have essentially been shut out in this century,it was very narrow.
3.) Georgia remains a very Republican State and ,in my view, Trumps voters will turn out as he told them to do last night.
To win the Democrats have to thread a very narrow needle. The Black turnout as to be huge. The suburb vote has to be near what it was in the GE.Finally, the Republican turnout needs to be significantly lower than in November.
Possible?Certainly.Likely?No.
I still see a Republican victory of between 4-6 points in both races.
jamesb says
‘I want you Republicans in Georgia to vote Republican is a ‘rigged election’?
THAT sound REAL encouraging?…I’m gonna go right our?)
USA Today: “Trump did promote incumbent Georgia Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler –- whose Jan. 5 re-election bids will decide control of the Senate -– but framed most of the rally around his own legacy and false allegations about the election.”
Atlanta Journal Constitution: Trump tells GOP in Georgia to vote in “rigged” election.
Politicalwire…
My Name Is Jack says
Yes that sounds ridiculous.
However, when you compare that to the lies and other utter nonsense he blabbers on a regular basis and the way the Republican cattle eats it up?
Then, it makes perfect sense!
Trump understands that no matter how outlandish his remarks are, they will Always support them.
jamesb says
I’m going on the record as a Predue and Loeffler lean….
The probable for Democrats is Warnock has been demonised and Ossoff has little presence…
But I CAN see Democrats pulling out BOTH in narrow wins if the confusion within the Republicans factions depresses their vote and suburban Atalanta comes out HEAVY along with the Black vote….
Perdue is the weakest link….
Zreebs says
As of now, I give the odds of the Democrats winning to be 50-50. Democrats were energized after this past election in Georgia- where Democrats actually picked up a GOP seat, and Democrats continued to register new voters. I don’t think that Trump’s campaigning has helped Republicans, and the GOP in Georgia is unnecessarily divided right now.
I think that Warnock has a better chance at winning, but I give Ossoff close to 50% too. I would be surprised if anyone wins by more than 3.0%.
jamesb says
I agree no high margin winners…
Scott P says
I also think it will be close no matter who wins. Both elections.
jamesb says
Agreed Scott on a close one…
Scott P says
I give a slight edge to Loeffler and Perdue. But Georgia has changed no doubt. You also have the Republican message muddled and Trump becoming less popular in the weeks since the election.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
(1) I’m still doubtful about the Senate runoffs, and I don’t think I can make any useful hypotheses before the Electors vote on December 14th (a week from tomorrow). Once the College has voted, I’m sure that Georgia GOPers will feel less inhibited about acknowledging what happened on November 3rd, and their energy, attention and efforts will start concentrating on January 5th.
(2) Jon Ossoff has an irritating habit (shared by Bernie Sanders and many others) of not answering a question but instead reciting the 90-second version of his own platform.
(3) Georgia’s Secretary of State and Director of Voting Systems were both on today’s Sunday talk shows to repeat what they said earlier this week. They’re both conservative Republicans who wish that Trump had been re-elected and hope that the incumbent Republican Senators are re-elected in order to stop a Democratic/liberal/Biden sweep. But they also stand fast that the election in Georgia was fair, signatures had already been carefully compared (with the aid of experts at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation), and that the mob agitations has to stop now because it’s leading to death threats on ordinary election officials as well as statewide officeholders.
jamesb says
It’s Trump’s party…..
BUT?
Democratic Socialist Dave says
It’s also ironic to see the PBS documentary about Reconstruction yesterday and realize that 140-145 years ago, it was the Georgia Republican Party that was the victim of libel, slanders and organized deadly violence by Democratic mobs and vigilantes infuriated by a tornado of lies, slanders and fear-mongering.

Update….
Georgia voters have until Monday to request an absentee ballot or register to vote.
And as of 11 p.m. Saturday, almost 1.1 million Georgians had requested an absentee ballot for the Senate runoffs on Jan. 5, compared with 1.5 million about a month before the Nov. 3 election. In addition, nearly 43,000 people have already returned their ballots, and the vast majority of these ballots have been accepted.
Just about half of the people requesting absentee ballots are White, according to a Washington Post analysis. About a third are Black, and 3 percent are Asian American, 3 percent Hispanic and 10 percent have other or unknown ethnicity.
The demographic breakdown of voters requesting ballots is similar to this point in the general election. One key difference: So far, the absentee requests have come from older voters than in the general. The median age among those who have requested ballots in the Senate contest is 66, and 8 percent are younger than 30. In November, the median age was 61, and 14 percent of requests came form voters younger than 30….
WashPost….
( I assume if all these people vote?…It would be favouring Republicans)

The Day after the Trump Georgia ‘campaign ‘ visit…..
Georgia officials on Sunday once again pushed back at Mr. Trump’s baseless allegations about the integrity of the election and his demand that they call for a special session of the state legislature to overturn Mr. Biden’s victory.
“The president’s statements are false,” Gabriel Sterling, a senior elections official in the Georgia secretary of state’s office, said in an appearance on the NBC program “Meet the Press.” “They are misinformation. They are stoking anger and fear among his supporters — and hell, I voted for him. The situation is getting much worse.”…
