Joe Biden’s chief of Staff Ron Klain says his boos will be revealing some cabinet picks come this Tuesday…
I have mixed feelings about this…
Biden & Co. are doing this a bit early I believe to get around Trump’s deliberate effort to make things difficult ….
That is Good….
But I am not gonna be happy if Biden makes ‘safe’ picks to give Senate Republicans the ability to actually steer these picks to help them feel comfortable….
The Trump admin is a disgrace …
Slots not filled….
Those jobs filled….
Are with political hacks whose job it was to help Trump & Co. disrupt things in most cases…
Every President puts people that should be ‘loyal’ to them…
That is the way things get done…
But the Trump way has be bad for the country….
Biden’s people will all be veterans of government service….
They are going to have to make tough decisions in putting our federal government back together after Trump’s continuing effort to tear it apart…
One hopes that Joe Biden agree’s to forward people up to the job that may not make the Republicans senator’s happy who have to punch their ticket for admittance …
President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s transition team will announce its first cabinet appointments on Tuesday, said Ron Klain, Mr. Biden’s incoming White House chief of staff, although he declined to say which ones.
Mr. Klain, in an interview on ABC’s “This Week,” said that Mr. Biden would be beating the pace of appointments set by both the Obama-Biden transition and the Trump transition. Mr. Biden’s cabinet and team “will look like America” in terms of ideology and background, Jennifer Psaki, a senior adviser to the transition team, said on CNN’s “State of the Union” when asked whether the cabinet would include more progressive Democrats than President Barack Obama’s first cabinet. That group included a record 14 minorities and women.
Mr. Klain also said that inauguration events on Jan. 20 would be downsized because of the coronavirus and that they might include virtual aspects as the Democratic National Convention had done in August. The inauguration will incorporate “some mix of those techniques, scaled-down versions of the existing traditions,” he said.
“Obviously this is not going to be the same kind of inauguration we had in the past,” Mr. Klain added. “We know people want to celebrate. There is something here to celebrate. We just to find a way to do that as safely as possible.”…
Note….
So far no leaks on the names….
