There is NO reason that Dr. Anthony Fauci should lose his job….
Donald Trump was afraid to fire the infectious disease boss at National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases….And was reduced to dissing the ‘expert’ in public , which resulted in threats of violence against the guy and family, who now have protective details….
Fauci is sure to have support and MUCH BETTER working relationship with the Biden White House which is gonna address the virus pandemic in a stronger, and more direct effort that the Trump admin….
President-elect Joe Biden said Tuesday that transition staffers have been in touch with Anthony Fauci, the nation’s leading infectious disease expert and a member of the White House’s coronavirus task force.
Biden told reporters that while he has not spoken with Fauci himself, “He’s been very, very helpful.”
Fauci confirmed to CNN that he’s spoke with the president-elect’s team and that he hopes to stay on in his role as the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Fauci has served in his position since 1984, a span that has included working for six administrations. He has emerged as one of the most prominent health officials in the nation during the coronavirus pandemic, with polls showing widespread support for him among the public.
News of the conversation comes as Biden vows to make tackling the coronavirus pandemic his top priority once entering the White House.
The president-elect has already indicated he would take a tougher stance on encouraging people to wear masks and socially distance, acts President Trump has downplayed, and will boost the government’s testing and contact tracing efforts…..

I don’t see where Fauci is in any danger from Biden.
Especially since Dr Fauci is still in his job (as he was over six administrations of different parties), and thus needs no Senate action (or inaction) to stay there.
Were Joe Biden nominating/appointing him afresh, or to another post such as Surgeon General or Sec. of HHS, I’m sure that it would be approved (if necessary) by the Senate, but The Base (having been convinced that that Dr Fauci is the treasonous Archangel of Death to America, Fake Medicine and economic collapse) would be egging on fanatics and Trumptoadies like Sen. Tom Cotton to make confirmation as nasty and contentious as possible)

Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious diseases expert, said he would “absolutely” serve on President-elect Joe Biden’s COVID-19 task force if asked.
“Of course, yes. The answer is absolutely,” Fauci said in response to a question during a C-SPAN interview Wednesday.
Fauci, who’s a member of the White House coronavirus task force, said he has been in contact with Biden chief of staff Ron Klain, but added they have not discussed the “nuts and bolts” of the COVID-19 response….
