Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), a stalwart supporter of President Trump, on Friday referred to Joe Biden as the country’s “president-elect,” a comment her staff later said was a mistake, the Tennessean reports.
She was asked whether she had been in contact with Biden to congratulate him, as president-elect, on his victory.

If either party had already clinched the majority in the Senate, or if he had already conceded to some extent, more eleteds in the party would have already moved on more officially.

The media is correct that he has broken all sorts of norms in terms of concessions or going forward publicly with a transition.

I don’t know what “return” means. We don’t have party registration in my state. I am not planning to go to any meetings or events anytime soon. I have always said that things are up in the air in terms of a post-Trump Republican Party in general and that a “civil war” is needed, etc.
But you have to of course recognize the reality that January 5 and two runoffs in Georgia hold over this situation now in regards to elected Republicans in Washington D.C. If the majority of the Senate was already decided, one way or another, things would be different now publicly.
Everyone knows Trump lost. Nobody is going to any lengths to actually “help” him now, but of course they are scared to death to poke the bear and cause him to ask his supporters in Georgia to stay home or even vote for the Democrats as a method of revenge.
