That IS what he said to a crowd of supports tonight….
If he thinks this threat is gonna scare anyone but his 40% or so of his supporters ?
He needs to cut down the drugs they’re giving him….
(Maybe he WILL move to Russia after all?….No place else is gonna want him)
To the same crowd he says he running against the worst candidate in the history of politics…THEN he talks about losing to Joe Biden?….
Two weeks out Donald Trump sounds more and MORE like he KNOWS he’s gonna lose his job come January 20th…And he’s embarrassed about it…
At a campaign rally in Macon, Georgia President Trump speculated on losing the presidential electionto Joe Biden.
Said Trump: “You know what? Running against the worst candidate in the history of American politics puts pressure on me. Could you imagine if I lose? My whole life—what am I going to do? I’m going to say, I lost to the worst candidate in the history of politics!”
He added: “I’m not going to feel so good. Maybe I’ll have to leave the country, I don’t know.”
…
Trump told a crowd of supporters at a campaign rally in North Carolina last month that “If I lose to him, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I will never speak to you again.”
Biden’s campaign featured the president’s comments in its own video on social media.
Could he end up being a fugitive from justice?

Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) mocked Sen. Kamala Harris’ name as “Kamala-mala-mala-whatever” at this rally.
They have served together in the U.S. Senate for nearly four years, so he knows how to properly pronounce her name.
Politico: “Mispronouncing Harris’ first name has become a common attack within the Trump camp. The president routinely does so in a mocking way during his political rallies, even though he has correctly said it in less rowdy settings.”
This is George Allen’s Macacca moment. Racism is simply ingrained in the Republican Party and they need to get their asses kicked for so many reasons. Listening to Perdue actually say this is a lot worse than reading it.

Appealing to knuckle dragging hicks

Yep!
Perdue might be some big shot “businessman” but I’ve seen his kind all my life.
And I know what he is.
Nothing but an old Georgia “cracker.”
And “cracker” knows how to appeal to those other “crackers” who were cheering him on!
Disgusting !

As for Trump….
Leaving the country is a frequent act of gangsters.
Why should this gangster be any different?

Jack?
He’s thinking about seeking the ‘protection’ of his buddy….
And just think….
He could leave his wives, taxes and former country and party!
Keith says
He can’t leave the Party, he is the Party.
The Macacca Moment started Virginia on its way to Blue, this will push Georgia in the same direction.
Let Perdue join Allen on the ash heap of racist Hell. And to think, folks used to say George Allen would be President.

Actually, it’s not so far-fetched at all and perhaps a bit frightening.
It’s not all that difficult for me for to see this scenario:
Trump loses the election badly and clearly enough to everyone but his family and the most fanatical (but still sizeable) part of his base that he’s forced, kicking and screaming but without violence, to vacate 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, while at least 98% of the Federal and state governments recognize Joe Biden as the President of the United Stattes.
But Trump believes and declares (as have so many defeated tyrants, and so many democratic rulers ousted by force) that he is still the Rightful President in Exile in democratic Slovenia or in a grateful dictatorship like Russia. He will continue to issue Executive Orders to the Cabinet and Pentagon, and could even establish (or keep) a Cabinet of his own.
The possibilities of havoc are obvious though not unlimited, if there are enough supporters still in the U.S. who not only believe that Trump is still (or should be) President and follow his orders rather than those of the orderly and democratically-run government selected in November.

I find this scenario highly unlikely, particularly using your premise that “Trump loses the election badly…”If that happens there are way too many ambitious Republicans out there who will see their opening.I can’t see them participating in anything like you describe here.
The only way something like this might occur is in the highly unlikely event that there was a replay of the 2000 Bush / Gore election .Even then ,I wouldn’t see this occur.

Keith?
If you don’t think Donald Trump IS gonna drop the ‘party’ like a hot pan ur trippin….
Sure he’ll look for some sort of entertainment gig…
But they parry’?
Nope….
They were only good to him as his way to get what HE wanted….
Seems like the feeling is mutual from the increasing leaks to media from his ‘party’ people….
My Name Is Jack says
What do you think all those “MAGA red hat wearing bootlickers” are going to do?
Go home ,throw their hats in the closet ,and say “well that was fun?”
I don’t.
Even a fairly decisive Trump loss will be explained away as voting fraud, the Damn librul media ,RINOs, Antifa, in other words all the various hobgoblins that haunt the Trumpite worlds mind.
No, even in defeat, Trump will maintain the loyalty of a significant portion of the Republican electorate.Enough to dominate the party? That remains to be seen.Certainly though,Trump ,if he desires , can exert a degree of influence over the Republican Party and its future going forward .
I emphasize, ,if he so desires. There is the possibility that he himself may be tired of the political world and decide to return ,if he ever left, the entertainment world.
In that scenario you will see a scramble among Republican politicians to claim his anti establishment mantle although the argument can be made that Trumpism is now The Establishment within today’s Republican Party.

I agree that Trump WILL tire of a venue that has fought him every step of the way….
I think he packs his bags and tries to find another universe …

Jack is right.

“The last four years have made it clear that our institutions are suffering from too many years of deferred maintenance. That’s why I’ve been participating in the Guardrails of Democracy Project, an informal think tank made up of conservative, often Republican, lawyers who have grown increasingly concerned about the health of our democracy. Guardrails of Democracy is about identifying reforms designed to reinvigorate and secure our existing system of checks and balances.
“To paraphrase Donald Rumsfeld, we’re soldiering through this election season with the checks and balances we’ve got. And it’s going to be bad. The FBI has already broken up a serious plot to kidnap one and maybe two sitting governors, and authorities are bracing for the worst. In a recent poll, 55% of Americans said they anticipate violence in the election’s aftermath….”

Barry Goldwater and George McGovern just went back to the Senate after losing the Presidential election (and Mitt Romney entered it for the first time).
As for the five losing incumbents since 1890, William Howard Taft became Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court (the only Justice who has, so far, also been President). Herbert Hoover dabbled in non-elective public office (e.g. the Hoover Commission), Jimmy Carter worked on Habitat for Humanity and the Carter Foundation. I’m not sure that Gerald Ford and George H.W. Bush did much more than enjoy a happy retirement, although Ford did attend a lot of Republican fund-raisers.

I should add that John McCain and Hubert Humphrey returned to the Senate. Gov. Tom Dewey remained in Albany, and Gov. Michael Dukakis served out his term in Boston, while Adlai Stevenson did not return to Springfield. Nixon ran unsuccessfully for Governor of California in 1962 (“you won’t have Dick Nixon to kick around any more, because, gentlemen, this is my last press conference.”)
