The new survey finds Trump with 76% support among Republicans. Biden has 81% of the Democrat vote and an 18-point lead among voters not affiliated with either major party…
I always wondered how far Republicans would go before they decided to save their own hides by jumping off the Donald Trump bus….
One senior GOP official close to Trump, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to speak candidly, compared this crossroads to when the “Access Hollywood” story broke in October 2016 and many Republicans distanced themselves from Trump, who on tape had bragged in vulgar terms about groping women.
“The situation is getting worse and worse,” the senior official said. “This is like ‘Access Hollywood’ because we’re all seeing terrible poll numbers. We didn’t think it’d be this bad at this point. Everyone is wondering where the bottom is, and they’re figuring out what they need to do.”
The tumult within the GOP comes as the party remains jolted by Trump’s recent hospitalization and reevaluates the cost of being in lockstep with a president whose message on the virus that has ravaged families and killed more than 200,000 Americans is “don’t let it dominate you.”…
So now you find the Rasmussen Poll ,because it complies with your own “view,” credible after ridiculing it over a number of years.

But the POLL comes in line with others that show a Biden low to medium double digit lead…

The Rasmussen Poll is well known for wild swings from poll to poll.
So don’t be surprised in a few weeks to see a “surge “:toward Trump in its polling.
Now if anyone here wants to believe that a quarter of all Republicans are going to vote for Biden as this poll implies?Feel free to do so.

Some Democrats have theorized that Rasmussen is purposely dropping Trump’s numbers among Republicans to set up a comeback narrative.
I don’t buy into that. I just think they are a shitty pollster. But like a broken clock is right twice a day they might be on ro something here. Or they might not.
Either way if Trump is below even 85% of Republicans on Election Day and is still polling the same with independents?

The fact is there were and still are a significant number of “Trump Democrats”, although it has shrunk somewhat since 2016.
There are also “Biden Republicans” which good news for you guys, seems to be the larger number this year and larger than the number of “Clinton Republicans” there were in the last election.
