The Republican US Senate shape up from the start ….
Senator Murkowski said she will NOT already….
Maine Senator Collins voting for a justice seals her defeat since people up in Maine are pissed at her Kvanaugh vote….
South Carolina Senator Graham is in a tight race and a vote for could go either way with voters…But if the Democratic vote is very heavy in South Carolina?
Senator Grassley probably would fold and vote if Trump leans heavily on him…
Senator McSally in Arizona is for the vote and probably will lose her seat…
North Carolina Senator Tom Tillis is in trouble and could come out against a vote if he feels Trump is gone…
Senate Majority leader McConnell does not have a slam dunk on this….But it does lean for a vote….
CNN lists four Republicans senators who have said they will oppose a vote on a new Supreme Court justice just before the election:
Sen. Susan Collins to the New York Times: “I think that’s too close, I really do.”
Sen. Lisa Murkowski in September: “Fair is fair.”
Sen. Lindsey Graham in October 2018: “If an opening comes in the last year of President Trump’s term, and the primary process has started, we’ll wait to the next election. And I’ve got a pretty good chance of being the Judiciary Chairman. Hold the tape.”
Sen. Chuck Grassley said in July he would follow the Biden rule: “I’m just following what was established by the Biden Rule in 1986 and then emphasized by him in 1992… They set the pattern. I didn’t set the pattern. But it was very legitimate that you can’t have one rule for Democratic presidents and another rule for Republican presidents.”
Then there is this….
New York Times: “In Times/Siena polls of Maine, North Carolina and Arizona released Friday, voters preferred Mr. Biden to select the next Supreme Court justice by 12 percentage points, 53% to 41%. In each of the three states, Mr. Biden led by just a slightly wider margin on choosing the next justice than he did over all.”
“Similarly, a Fox News poll last week found that voters nationwide trusted Mr. Biden over Mr. Trump — by seven points — to nominate the next Supreme Court justice.”
Note…
A hurried for a Supreme Court justice to replace Ginsburg seems to be a recipe for a Joe Biden increased vote and lock for the Presidency….
Democratic early voting is already high…..
This will just push it higher as the ramifications of another conservative judge on the court sink in to left and moderate voters….

The move by McConnell in the hours following GInsburg’s death sets a very clear choice for the other 52 Republican senators: Either you are with Trump and McConnell or you are against them. If past is prologue, that will be a tough duo for most Senate Republicans to oppose….

Heck even a Fox poll has a majority of voters wanting Biden to make a justice pick NOT Trump….
My Name Is Jack says
Actually, the Fox Poll ,along with Chris Wallace, is about the only legitimate thing about Fox News. The rest is just pure Republican propaganda ,not even masked very well.

Yes….
With Biden in the White House they would have a fall back position to sell….
