House Speaker Pelosi has brought the US House members back to vote up a bill that would give the Post Office a badly needed $25 Billion….
But the hook is that the Post Service cuts that Post Master DeJoy wants would be negated….
The bill has no chance anyways in the GOP controlled Senate because Trump is steady on trying to curtailing mail-in voting….
The House bill, called the Delivering for America Act, is sponsored by Oversight and Reform Committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.). It would prohibit the Postal Service from implementing changes to operations or level of service in place at the beginning of this year until the end of the coronavirus pandemic and provide $25 billion for the Postal Service’s operations.
Specifically, the bill would stop any changes in the nature of postal services affecting service nationwide; revisions of service standards; closures of any post office or cutback in hours; prohibitions on overtime pay to employees; and changes that would delay mail.
The House is scheduled to vote on the bill Saturday. The vote is likely to be largely symbolic, given that the bill would face an uphill battle in the GOP-controlled Senate and the White House is threatening a veto.
The White House statement Friday signals that Trump is still open to considering Postal Service funding as part of a fifth coronavirus relief package, but talks between the White House and Congress have broken down on that front…..

I am now firmly in of the belief that a major legislation on the Corona Virus won’t happen until after the election, I was hopeful at one point, but that was my hope blinding me from seeing the reality…
Neither side can “afford” to back off their position now, because capitulation on the Democratic side would certainly weaken Dems position in the fall election and bolster the Republican position, and pretty much vice versa in the Republicans capitulate, but they would suffer less damage because they would be getting money out to people and governments and that could help them in the fall, but the Democrats would claim victory and take a majority of the credit for getting money out to people regardless of how big the Douche Bag’s Name is on the IRS stimulus letter.
