Joe Biden still may be undecided about who to pick for a running mate, but Donald Trump’s team knows exactly who they want: Susan Rice.
Trump’s aides and allies accuse Rice — without delving too deeply into the evidence — of helping cover up crimes for two of the president’s favorite foils, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, making her just the kind of deep-state villain who could fire up his MAGA base.
“She is absolutely our No. 1 draft pick,” a Trump campaign official said.
Rice, the former ambassador to the United Nations and national security adviser for Obama, is accused of revealing the identities of top Trump associates in 2016 after they were picked up as part of U.S. surveillance of foreign officials.
Four years earlier, she faced allegations that she misled Americans when she announced on national TV that the fatal attacks in Benghazi, Libya, occurred after spontaneous protests in response to an anti-Muslim video. That was determined to be inaccurate.
On Monday night, Tucker Carlson, the Fox News host influential in Trump’s orbit, opened his show with a lengthy diatribe about Rice and her role in the 2012 Benghazi raid — strikingly similar to the attack Republicans lodged against Clinton in the 2016 race against Trump.
“I can’t think of anyone that is more polarizing who would fire up the base than Susan Rice,” said former Rep. Jason Chaffetz, a Republican who investigated the Obama administration as chairman of the House oversight committee. “They know her, and they don’t like her.”…

Well, since these grievances about Susan Rice rest almost solely, completely and entirely within the inner world of conservative Trumpian myth and legend, perhaps Joe Biden as the challenger could adopt the logic of Barry Goldwater in 1964, who was said to have picked N.Y. Cong. and RNC Chairman Bill Miller for his running-mate mainly because “he drives Johnson nuts!”
What would really drive Republicans nuts is for Biden to pick Hillary Clinton.
The hatred of the GOP towards her will still be around even when she has shuffled her mortal coil.
He’d lose…..
A LOT of Democrats hate her and she would drive up the Republican vote…

I know you think she was lazy, but she did win the popular vote by three million.
First, she wouldn’t do it and won’t be asked. But I know lots of people who think the revenge factor alone would be wonderful.
Second, unless he drops dead or his pants in the middle of Fifth Avenue Joe will be elected President.
He simply needs an upright breathing younger female running mate.

She WAS carrying the Clinton’brand’ which worked well for her husband , but not so well with her…
With her insecurities and lawyer wall?
She had trouble selling herself as ‘human’….
Now WITH ALL those negatives?
She SATILL beat Trump by millions of votes…
But THAT isn’t how ya get to be President…
Reports that her polling people told her towards the end that things was slipping away and she had to make a last minute campaign adjustment for sing states went in one ear and out the other….

Let Hillary Clinton wait until Joe Biden gets the White House THEN we can talk about her in a more positive light….
