The last three days have featured all kinds of people saying NICE things about one Donald J. Trump….
I’m NOT having it….
40% of the voting population might….
But I don’t believe THAT….
Republicans under Trump show their worst face of what America can be….It wasn’t that way…It IS NOW…And it’s all for Donald Trump….
Things ARE truly chaos with him around…..
The Republican National Convention apparently decided its job was to re-imagine President Donald Trump. That new, improved Trump welcomes minority immigrants, abhors racism and is reminiscent of Abraham Lincoln.
That Trump hosted five newly naturalized citizens, whom he showcased at the convention. All were people of color. As they clutched tiny American flags, this kinder, gentler Trump welcomed the “absolutely incredible new members into our great American family.” That Trump bore little resemblance to the president who had warned of an infestation of illegal immigrants, who banned visitors from certain countries with large Muslim populations, who zealously blocked asylum seekers, who fretted over immigrants from “s—hole countries,” and who snatched immigrant children from their parents’ arms and put them in cages.
This version of Trump, it turns out, also loves Black Americans. Among them is Herschel Walker, the football player whom Trump signed in 1984 to play for the New Jersey Generals of the ill-fated U.S. Football League. Walker assured us that racism “isn’t Donald Trump.” Jack Brewer, another Black ex-football player (and “servant to God” who has been charged with insider trading) informed us that racism “has no resemblance to President Trump.” He also informed us that Trump had never praised “very fine white supremacists,” although that’s not how Trump put it and no one has accused him of saying those exact words.
