In Rhode Island, whose politics hardly have a reputation for snow-white reformist integrity (e.g. Mayor Buddy Cianci, Gov. Ed DiPrete), legislators and city councillors lose their posts, their money and sometimes their freedom for commingling campaign funds with their own wallets.
