Brown said in a statement that he is honored and humbled to serve as the next Air Force chief of staff, and that he and his wife, Sharene, look forward to building on what Goldfein and his wife, Dawn, and other Air Force leaders have done.
“It is an absolute privilege for Sharene and I to serve our Airmen and families,” Brown’s statement said. “We are committed to building upon our foundation and legacy to ensure we remain the most respected and capable Air Force in the world.”
Brown’s confirmation was touted by President Trump before it even occurred on Tuesday afternoon….

I am pretty sure Colin Powell outranked him as Chair of the JCOS

Bingo CG!
The reporter IS INCORRECT…
I will make the correction…
Ok after some checking ?
The reporter IS CORRECT….
The JCS job is NOT within the operational chain of command…
Powell ‘s highest command was a theatre command …He then went to the White House positions ….
The chief of staff position IN the Army IS higher than a theatre command …
jamesb says
The resin the current JCS got in a bit of trouble was he ‘ordered’ military units to clear the park for Trump’s walk…
He was technically NOT supposed to be able to do that…
He’s NOT a operational general…
His job is to ‘advise’ the President on military and policy matters…
He has NO command responsibility
