Tara Reade, who managed the intern program for Biden’s Senate office in 1993, last month alleged publicly that Biden had sexually assaulted her in an empty corridor on Capitol Hill. She previously had accused him of inappropriate touching.
In a statement, and then in a lengthy and at-times uncomfortable interview with MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski, Biden pointed to what he described as “inconsistencies” in Reade’s story, saying that her telling of what happened had “changed repeatedly in both small and big ways.”
Reade has said that she notified three of Biden’s senior aides about his touching at the time: Then-chief of staff Ted Kaufman, adviser Dennis Toner and Marianne Baker, an executive assistant. All three have gone on the record to say that Reade did not confront them about the issue.

And the jury is an American public that has presided over many public trials about allegations of sexual impropriety in the past few years, and is typically split about who to believe.
BIDEN’S ANSWER about whether he assaulted TARA READE — delivered on MSNBC’s “MORNING JOE” this morning — seemed absolutely Shermanesque: “No. It is not true. I’m saying unequivocally it never, never happened and it didn’t. It never happened.”
IT’S AN ANSWER THAT SEEMED DESIGNED to put the issue to rest. But in 2020, it will do nothing like that. BIDEN’S detractors — Republicans and Democrats alike — found plenty to poke at to keep this story alive….

When Trump qas asked a similar questiin about one of the 25 womwn who have accused him of sexual assault his reply was “not my tyoe”.

I have not “built up” Sanders. I was quite open in wanting to see him defeated in the primary because I felt Trump would beat him. I am not “pushing” the Biden story, but it is a legitimate story based on the standards that the media and others have put forth.
You just look at everything as a cheerleader.

Maybe the comparison is also more than just Biden and Trump. Maybe you have to include Bill Clinton as well.
The difference is that a lot more Democrats are willing to admit that Bill Clinton probably violated multiple women in matters that went far beyond consensual action (but still supported him politically nonethelesss) while it seems more out of character for Biden who just had a reputation as a hugger and a hair sniffer.

I don’t remember you asking Donald Trump to release the Apprentice tapes, to release his taxes, to release all NDAs he or his company have done, to believing the more than 20 women who have accused him of sexual assault.
You conveniently ignore the multiple allegations made against Bill Clinton of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and rape.
The point is that many Democrats are willing to admit that Clinton likely did some of that. More are suspect that Biden did what he is accused of. Nonetheless, many are willing to overlook all of it simply for political reasons.
I am nobody “important” but I have said Donald Trump should release all of those things. I have called for him to step down from public life altogether from the day he came down an escalator and that has been my position ever since.
Thus, I am very consistent in saying Biden should release all records related to Tara Reade.
The problem WILL be the media…
They ARE gonna ride this….
