Things get crazier with the guy everyday….
President Trump on Monday revealed he’s taking hydroxychloroquine, a controversial drug that he’s championed as a potential treatment for coronavirus despite limited evidence from the medical community.
The president said he consulted with the White House doctor about taking the drug, but it was not explicitly recommended for him since he has not tested positive for the virus.
“I asked him what do you think,” Trump said. “He said, ‘Well if you’d like it.’ I said, ‘Yeah, I’d like it. I’d like to take it.’ ”
He said he’s been taking the drug for about a week-and-a-half along with a zinc supplement, adding he based his decision on positive reviews he’s heard from front-line health care workers who have had good results treating patients with it.
“Here’s my evidence: I get a lot of positive calls about it,” Trump said.
“So far, I seem to be OK,” he added….

Trump appeared to get a kick out of the media’s reaction to his announcement on Monday, which came at a roundtable with restaurant industry executives.
“I was just waiting to see your eyes light up when I said this,” he said….

This is a pretty astonishing story. I would have assumed he was lying about it. Maybe he is.
The White House physician has released a statement though in which he confirms he let Trump take this drug. The statement sort of makes it seem like he, the doctor, did not have the final say in the matter. I suppose it is possible that Trump tested positive for the virus or had symptoms a week and a half ago and that is being covered up.
If Trump drops dead tonight from a heart attack or in the near future and this drug is the reason, considering his age, his weight, and the theoretical stress his job would entail, can you imagine what people are going to say about this White House physician, Dr. Sean Conley, and the calls for criminal and/or civil action against him for doing what apparently no other doctor is saying they would be willing to do.
I thought only Elvis and Michael Jackson got doctors like this.
Nancy Pelosi questioned whether a man of Trump’s age and weight–calling him obese–should be putting his heart in danger like that.
Reminding us all how much Nancy rules.
Very few people actually come out and remind us about Trump’s age and health, eh?
