Trump – North Korea: President Trump sent well wishes to Marshal of the Republic Kim Jong-un (Juche) as rumors circulate that Kim is in declining health after a botched surgery. No word if Trump plans a bedside visit to his Rocket Man BFF.
COVID-19 Stay At Home Orders: Reuters shows that 72 percent of Americans support quarantine and stay-at-home orders remaining in place until doctors and public health officials say they should be removed. This includes 88 percent of Democrats, 70 percent of independents, and 55 percent of Republicans. Despite calls to “Liberate” a few states from Trump, it appears a majority of Republicans are okay with the stay-at-home orders.
Morning Consult: New polls on COVID-19 show that African-Americans have been impacted a lot by the stay-at-home orders, but are in strong alignment with such a strategy. 70% of blacks believe that social distancing measures should remain in place with 77 percent in a separate poll supporting prioritizing public health over the economy. Seniors also appear to be distancing themselves from President Trump’s handling of the crisis, which is a key metric to keep an eye on as it appears Biden is making inroads with them.
Biden: Former Vice President Joe Biden (D) is not going to get his wish of a Michelle Obama vice presidential run according to Obama confidant Valerie Jarrett who says there is no chance. I hear “wrongfully deposed” Georgia “Governor” Stacey Abrams is still pushing her vice presidential candidacy. In other news, Franco is still dead.
