Independent Rep. Justin Amash has said he is “looking closely” at a Presidential bid.
It seems a bit late to enter the fray, and how do you get the necessary signatures for an Independent to get on the ballot in most states? I believe he is too late to be considered for the Libertarian nomination.
Unlikely this goes anywhere. As I’ve said many times, third party/independent votes will be much lower than 2016 in my opinion.

I agree Scott….
Hopefully the Bernie people will give up their fight and join the vote against TRUMP …Not Biden…

I’m sure some of the Bernie folks voted for Libertarian Gary Johnson in 2016, and others voted for Jill Stein. Remember that most did in fact vote for Hillary–upwards of near 90%–about the same support Trump got from Republicans.
I don’t think Amash has the same appeal to left leaning independents that Johnson had. The former Gov. of New Mexico was known for supporting legalization of marijuana but other than that didn’t seem too right wing. Amash is an avowed conservative.

The core tension right now is that…
–Biden could lead among RVs in states worth 400 electoral votes, including 6+ points in the national popular vote
–Trump could still be within 2 points in states worth 270 electoral votes, and quite possibly even less among likely voters
