Former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe predicted on a Fox News podcast that supporters of President Trump will turn out “at a historical level” on Election Day.
Said Plouffe: “You look at the economic situation and say, ‘How can an incumbent win in that?’ But, you know, no one’s blaming Trump for the damage. I think if you can lay his crisis response at his feet and connect that to the economy, I do think that’s some headwind he’s got to run into.”
He added: “And I think he’s going to turn out voters almost at a historical level on his behalf, so that makes him very dangerous if you’re Joe Biden.”
Is this for real or the guy trying to warn Democrats to NOT forget politics while all this virus focus is going on?…Republicans certainly haven’t….
I don’t find this surprising at all.
I think he maybe trying warn Democrats that politics ARE still at play no matter what the daily media is saying….
I agree with Plouffe. However there will also be historic turnout to vote him out as well.
As for the guy himself (Plouffe) he may be covering his ass here as I think in 2016 he was the most absolute in saying Trump had no chance.
He also made some statement a few weeks ago about Sanders being the prohibitive favorite for the nomination so his prognosticating isn’t all that great to be honest.
