With Joe Biden having the nomination locked up and already running against Donald Trump?

Some of the Sanders delegates will probably switch over to Biden when the final count is taken at the convention…

Also?

Some with a LOT of primaries still up for a vote?

Biden IS gonna run the table…..

All this will cut the influence Sanders & Co. have when the party puts together it’s policy platform in the summer…

Sanders people ARE still trying to get Joe Biden to adopt THEIR Agenda even now after Sanders is done…

(BTW?…Who REALLY sticks to the party platform anyways 10 minutes after the convention?)

Primary season began back on Feb. 3 in Iowa with a competitive, multicandidate race for the Democratic presidential nomination, and some reasonable chance that the process would end with tense delegate countingat the national convention in Milwaukee. However, after a string of primary losses in March and April, Sen. Bernie Sanders suspended his campaign and former Vice President Joe Biden is now the presumptive Democratic nominee.

But that doesn’t mean that delegate counting is over. There are still 24 delayed and reconfigured contests with a combined 1,555 delegates at stake. Sure, Biden has already amassed 1,293 delegates¹ and is very likely to exceed the 1,991 pledged delegates necessary to clinch the nomination. But just how many delegates Sanders can rack up matters, because that will impact the concessions he and his campaign can win from Biden and the Democratic National Committee.
