Biden over performed from the polling numbers…
This IS moving to NO contested convention….
Just Biden’s…
Joe Biden HAS moved from just Black voters to the Klobuchar, Buttigieg and even Bloomberg supporters…
Dave Wasserman

Biden should win Maine ….
Sanders California….
At 12:59AM EST…Texas and California STILL had people voting…
Some in Texas waited on line for more than 5 hours…

The race IS between Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders….
Tonight Joe Biden with the establishment help?
Joe Biden assumes the lead for the nomination

And after action report will be forthcoming in the morning…
jamesb says
This WAS Joe Biden’s Night….
Scott P says
The map moves to some states Biden will likely win in landslides–Mississippi, Georgia, Florida chief among them.
Bernie *could* win Michigan like he narrowly did in 2016–though polls show him 6 pts behind. Sanders narrowly lost Missouri 4 yrs ago but looks to be far behind this year. Haven’t seen polls from Ohio and Illinois.
By the end of March Biden may be unstoppable.
jamesb says
A new Detroit News/WDIV-TV survey in Michigan shows Joe Biden leading Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary, 29% to 23%.
They are followed by Mike Bloomberg at 11% and Elizabeth Warren at 7%.

Lot of media pundits (Sanders leaners) ARE gonna have to eat their hats….

This Dog IS Fucking HAPPY‼️…

I’m REALLY out for the night…

I would assume he is unstoppable now. The South Carolina primary changed everything.
As Nicolle Wallace said: “The establishment had nothing to do with Joe Biden’s victory. He’s flat broke. He has not a single ad on the air … His victory is owed to African American voters, male and female, of every age in South Carolina, full stop.”
That spread to every state without any advertising or campaign infrastructure and it clearly succeeded tonight.
I am so sorry that some people have decided to denigrate the judgement of black Americans, but they came through for Joe.
Good night here in California. I brought a good bottle up from the wine room (we don’t have a cave) and celebrated a tremendous turn out of Democrats around the country. Feeling very optimistic about throwing the Republicans out of office this November.
jamesb says
Wallace is partly correct….
While they weren’t strong in their actions…
The Democratic Party stubbornly did NOT signal that they accepted Bernie Sanders like the lay down the GOP has done for Trump…
I’ll have more in my after action post later…
jamesb says
Lotta media Sanders leaners are NOT Happy this morning…..
My Name Is Jack says
Great night for Biden.
The Bernie surge has been halted.
That’s a good thing for the Democratic Party.
Scott P says
Who knew Fidel Castro’s literacy programs would not be a big winner in 2020?
jamesb says
Delegate count….3/4/2020
Biden……453
Sanders…382
Warren……50
Bloomberg..44
Buttigieg…….26
Klobuchar…….7
Gabbard……….1
Scott P says
Sanders will go up as.more CA vote gets counted. Though Biden may only losecstatewide by high single digits.
It’s worth noting that Biden’s own people thought the or best case scenario 2 days ago was ending Super Tues only 150 delegates behind Sanders. Then they would gain delegates the rest of the month.
jamesb says
Scott….
Bernie Sanders LOST it Super Tuesday….
The California count will probably be finished around the time the next round comes in 6 days from now on Tuesday in Idaho, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota and Wash….
Biden, with the wind at his back, will win the 3 M’s with the lion’s share of delegates….
13 days from now it’s over….
Florida, Illinois and Ohio WILL just about seal the deal for Biden….
Warren and Bloomberg will be long gone and the young voters knowing it’s over, won’t even show up….
Keith says
It was a great night for Biden for sure.
Nicole Wallace can sure call it.
It was also a bad night for the Bush family. What has become of the Republican Party? Time for W to endorse Joe, or at the very least to send out Laura and the girls to do so.
Biden has the count down to single digits here in California, we were told that it was going to be double digits remember? It will take at least a week for all those ballots to be counted and I suspect more late votes went to Biden after the Amy and Pete endorsements, and the Bloomberg collapse.
Here’s the deal folks as Joe would say. This resurrection is on black folks, they saved our party and America over the last five days. And anyone who disagrees just doesn’t understand politics.
So today should be “hug a black person day” as far as I am concerned. While the white leadership of our Party stood around with their thumbs firmly planted in their behinds, black folks went to the polls in record numbers to vote for the white guy who they know and trust.
The pundits were talking about the unstoppable Sanders and his army of young people (see McGovern) even last night when the night that was supposed to be Bernie’s turned into a Joe love fest.
Joe needs to be careful of “buyer’s remorse” (I’ve seen that at least three times in late primaries), and he needs to stay scripted. But he’s in good shape.
I see a fundraiser here in Northern California in his future.
Scott P says
Pierce Bush, a grandson of GHW Bush, lost a congressional primary in Texas.
It’s worth noting that this Bush, unlike the others, supports Trump.
Scott P says
On the Alabama Senate primary. Trump has already tweeted about Sessions being insufficiently loyal this morning.
Nothing like the guy who cheated on all 3 of his wives lecturing you on “loyalty”.
Of course Sessions having no dignity or self respect will promise to do better.
What a sad sad party. No wonder there were huge turnout in rhe suburbs of VA and NC (double from 2016) to get rid of this sack of shit with the far and away best option to do so–Joe Biden.
Keith says
Jeff should be up in a tree baking cookies, not running for the Senate.
jamesb says
Trump REALLY hates the guy, eh?
He should have stayed in the Senate…
Trump IS one way…HIS way…
jamesb says
Maine is called for Biden,,,.
AP Politics
BREAKING: Joe Biden wins the Democratic presidential primary in Maine. #APracecall at 1:57 p.m. EST. #Election2020 #MEprimary
jamesb says
Damn !
Sanders just got Vermont not Maine or Mass!!??
Scott P says
Damn, Bernie won Maine by 20 pts in 2016.
Caucuses though
jamesb says
Bernie has it expanded his base…
These contests and polls actually show it diminishing ….
CG says
He’s improved with Latinos and women.
jamesb says
Yes
but their numbers are no match for black and white suburban dem’s that Biden has…

@Redistrict
CA update: since 4:15am yesterday morning, another 305k votes have been counted. Here’s the change:
Biden +0.9%
Sanders +0.7%
Bloomberg -0.6%
Warren +0.1%
Not much change at the top, and Bloomberg (14.1%) & Warren (12.2%) still below statewide viability.
jamesb says
Sanders California lead is about where it will be….
Maybe slightly less….
Warren is NOT a factor…
CG says
Bernie and his supporters could be in for a big April.
It’s 4/20 all month!
jamesb says
BTW?
California votes could be counted on into next week…
jamesb says
bernie wants to debate Biden one on one on healthcare?
desperation ?
Democratic Socialist Dave says
Sanders, of course, won New Hampshire, as well.
Connecticut and Rhode Island Democrats don’t vote until April 28th.
You can now add Maine to Mass. and Minnesota to the Obama-Biden states carried by Joe Biden.
