It’s over for Bernie Sanders….
He’s never gonna be the Democratic nominee….
The guy who wouldn’t join the Democratic Party in the end…
The guy who rode the young voters against the party ?
Is about to go 0-2….
Joe Biden is gonna have good Tuesday vote tomorrow ….
And a better one next Tuesday…
The question will be how long will Sanders hold on and look sorry….
The question will switch to what do his supporters do?
Remember?
They do NOT voting with the numbers that Biden supporters do….
…from Politicalwire…
Biden Way Ahead In Arizona
A new OH Predictive Insights poll in Arizona finds Joe Biden leading Bernie Sanders, 45% to 17%.
Polls Show Biden Headed for Landslide In Michigan
A new Detroit Free Press/EPIC-MRA poll in Michigan finds Joe Biden leading Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary by 24-points, 51% to 27%.
Said pollster Bernie Porn: “Something happened on Super Tuesday with (other) candidates getting out and people are all of a sudden questioning Bernie’s positions on issues. If anything, it may be low in terms of the percentage that Biden may get.”
One point of caution: Four years ago, Hillary Clinton had a similar lead over Sanders and ended up losing the race.
A new Mitchell Research poll finds Biden leading 54% to 33%.
Biden Overwhelming Preferred by Democrats
A new CNN poll finds Joe Biden leading Bernie Sanders nationally by double-digits among Democrats, 52% to 36%, with Elizabeth Warren, who has since dropped out of the race at 7%.
Among those interviewed after Warren left the contest, Biden’s support rose to 57%, Sanders stood at 36%.

Sorry DSD….
Bernie IS DONE…
And YES…It DID turn on the dime of South Carolina…and the quarter of Super Tuesday…
My Name Is Jack says
Yes Biden apparently is going to be the nominee and Jim Clyburn in SC had the major role in resurrecting his campaign.
Scott P says
Biden gave a shout out not only to Hall of Fame Cardinal Lou Brock on Saturday but also to a St. Louis alderman who recently passed away who had been a local civil rights leader. He was enthusiastically introduced by the city’s Comptroller and the President of the Board of Aldermen–the top two elected African-Americans.
Joe knows the African-American voters saved his hide starting with Jim Clyburn in SC.
CG says
I saw a few minutes of Biden in St. Louis on CSPAN. (The Sanders campaign said they drew 15,000 in Chicago the same day. It probably would have been bigger if not for the virus anxieties.)
What was that naked statue behind Biden though?
My Name Is Jack says
Crowd sizes ?
Big deal.
jamesb says
YES….
Biden owes Clyburn BIG TIME!!!!!!!
CG says
Honorary MVP of the Biden campaign is Bernie Sanders.
Democrats seem willing to not gamble away a chance on a winnable race.
Who knew they would be more conservative than Republicans?
The concept though that Biden is going to be hailed as a great candidate every day between now and November is laughable. He has a ton of weaknesses and is going to lead to a lot of uneasiness.
My Name Is Jack says
Tell us about the Republican candidates weaknesses.
Or is your point that Republicans are so cultlike in their devotion that they don’t care about any weaknesses he may have?
If that your point?
CG says
Donald Trump has Yuge weaknesses too. We all know that.
He is also capable of winning again.
jamesb says
CG?
He’s on the normal….
Screwing HIMSELF…
That and bad Karma…
CG says
People on both sides will overlook weaknesses, which might be semi-normal in a political environment, but beyond that, they will deny that they exist, which is simply tribalism.
My Name Is Jack says
Talk about stating the obvious!
jamesb says
Yes CG I would agree….
You have previewed some Genius? pundit’s story next week…
My Name Is Jack says
Yeah and Biden is capable of winning too.
Is worthy of comment that almost daily you remind everyone of Bidens “ weaknesses” but have little to say, until cajoled , about Trumps.

Give me a break. I point out reality at all times. I have consistently said Biden would be a stronger candidate than Sanders. I would rate Biden a slight favorite over Trump at the moment, but let’s not pretend this is some done deal.
People just don’t want to hear “the other side.” It triggers people here to hear anything negative about their candidate (Biden as a fourth or fifth choice for most), and it bothers people at places like HHR to hear anything non-laudatory about Trump.
My Name Is Jack says
Who is “pretending” it’s a done deal?
You seem to be addressing an issue that I haven’t seen here..
CG says
james clearly thinks it is a done deal (primary and general) while I think it is far to say that either is a done deal.
There were also some comments made about how *if* there is a recession, Trump cannot win. I wouldn’t necessarily be so sure. It depends who gets blamed or who is seen as getting us out of the situation.
jamesb says
I do NOT think the General election is a done deal…
It favours Biden right now by a little,,,
After the last general election?… ANYTHING can happen….
Biden and Democrats MUST PRESS ON and Thru…
I DO think Joe Biden has the nomination…
Sanders has lost this since since SC….
jamesb says
Democrats worried about Trump IS their best bet….
That worry has driven the turnout FOR Biden as you point to CG…
Trumps absence on the virus and the economic impact along with Trump’s general inability to deal with reality WILL be a difference for Biden vs Hillary
Trump NOW has a history to carry on his back…
CG?
Trump don’t look good by September?
Look for down ballot GOPer’s to jump ship….
My Name Is Jack says
Presidents and their parties almost always take a hit in bad economic times.
That’s simple political reality.
CG says
True, but Trump has broken every political rule thus far. If the election comes down to “a virus is killing people and causing a recession”, he will do everything he can to blame it on immigrants and stress the difference between his desired border policy and “wall” and that of the Democrats.
Trump is a desperation candidate. A chaos candidate. A “what do we have to lose” candidate. Someone like Biden stands a better chance of winning in a more normalized environment when it can be pointed out how abnormal Trump is.
jamesb says
CG?
People will be starved for leadership that Trump is incapable of providing…
CG says
It is very evident what a con-man Trump is by the way he talks about this situation and the lengths he goes to (in his mind) make it seem like everything he is doing is perfect.
But there are actually medical professionals working in our government who probably know that they are doing (the Surgeon General might not be one of them… he seems to think his job is to suck up to Trump) and putting Pence as the public face of the response was probably a good idea considering the alternative of the person above him.
Generally speaking, I think there is too much panic about this and the media happily fuels it.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
Are you better off now than you were four years ago?
Matter of fact (familiar to us all): George H.W. Bush had ratings well above 90% after Desert Storm/Desert Shield in 1991, and then sank to 37.5% in the following year’s presidential election.
CG says
And despite that, basically took a 2 on 1 race to dislodge him as the incumbent, with the winner receiving 43% of the vote.
Clinton made the case that Bush was disengaged from the economy and pointed to his record as Governor as evidence of his ability to handle things.
If the election truly comes down to a “foreign virus”, I don’t see any level of predictability for how that would go.
Generally speaking though, the more panicked people or the more they want to “send a message”, the more they might gravitate to someone like Trump.
jamesb says
CG?
WTF????
People are panicked and go to Trump????
ALL the polls are pointing to the MAIN AND OVERIDING reason Joe Biden is beating Sanders is his numbers AGAINST a Trump that ain’t doing shit about the virus or the bottom falling out of the economy…..
Seriously?
Ya gotta wake up….
Donald Trump , as i have been saying, does NOT give a shit about ANYTHING but HIMSELF…
People gonna vote his big ass OUT!
CG says
Biden is not beating Sanders because of the virus. Biden is beating Sanders because Sanders is an unapologetic quasi-Communist, whom the party fears cannot beat Trump.
Biden is not beating Trump because of the virus either. The polls have consistently shown Biden beating Trump, The reason the polls showed Biden beating Trump was because Biden represented more of a “return to normalcy.” If people think that the old normal is no longer possible and we are in a crisis related to foreign markets or foreign people, then the chance exists for Trump to exploit that tremendously.
