Michael Bloomberg wants Hillary Clinton as his running mate, sources told the Drudge Report.
Sources from the Bloomberg team told the news aggregation site that the former New York mayor is seriously considering having the former secretary of state and 2016 presidential candidate as his potential vice president.
Bloomberg sources said the campaign’s polling found voters would be receptive to a Bloomberg-Clinton ticket.
Clinton won the popular vote in 2016 but was beaten by President Donald Trump, who won the Electoral College.
Clinton has said a number of people have urged her to think about running in 2020.
She has repeatedly said she isn’t running for president this election cycle, recently telling Ellen DeGeneres that “I never say never because I do believe in serving my country, but it’s not going to happen.”
Jason Schechter, the communications director for the Bloomberg campaign, told 1010 WINS in a statement: “We are focused on the primary, not VP speculation.”…
