This Las Vegas Review-Journal poll has NOT been reported out in the media….
It’s from last week…
If things come out in the polls way?
Joe Biden could jump into the delegate lead for the first three contests …
Biden also slightly leads Sanders against Trump 9 months from the November election …
And have a good stepping stone going into South Carolina where he has a lead and would use to jump into Super Tuesday and pull away from the others…
The results of the poll, which surveyed 402 likely nonpartisan voters from Feb. 2-4, found that former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Bernie Sanders and Sen. Elizabeth Warren each have slight leads over Trump in hypothetical, head-to-head November matchups….
…
Biden, Warren, Sanders and Trump were the most recognizable candidates for the respondents. Most have already formed clear opinions on the president and his would-be challengers.
Forty-five percent of respondents had a favorable opinion of Trump, compared with 52 percent unfavorable.
Democratic presidential candidates broke down like this: Biden (47 percent favorable, 45 percent unfavorable), Sanders (41 percent favorable, 51 percent unfavorable) and Warren (40 percent favorable, 48 percent unfavorable).
“Nevadans are looking for a candidate who can beat Donald Trump,” Biden campaign spokesman Vedant Patel said. “And, consistently, they have trusted Joe Biden to be the candidate to build a broad and diverse coalition necessary to send Donald Trump packing in November.”
The Trump, Sanders and Warren campaigns declined to comment on the poll’s findings.
The rest of the Democratic field was a bit of a mystery to respondents.
About one-third of the group had not heard of or formed an opinion on former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, who holds a slight lead in Monday’s bitterly contested Iowa caucuses. For Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, that number was 43 percent.
Favorability for the other Democratic candidates: Buttigieg (34 percent favorable, 33 percent unfavorable), businessman Tom Steyer (39 favorable, 36 percent unfavorable), Klobuchar (34 percent favorable, 23 percent unfavorable) and author Andrew Yang (36 percent favorable, 23 percent….
Note…
The Nevada Democratic primary is only 9 days from the day of this post’s birth…

The fact that Michael Bloomberg is running (web) ads during the Democrat primaries that prominently feature Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush will make it a bit easier to vote for him next month.
The new Q-pac poll has him as Trump’s strongest opponent 51-42. They also have Sanders ahead of Trump 51-43, which I am certain would not last. On the contrary, I think Mayor Pete’s more modest lead over Trump would probably grow, at least at first, if he were to be nominated.
CG says
Oh, and he as a Romney ad too!
He’s going all out for my vote.
CG says
Some company needs to run a just for the hell of it Trump vs. Romney national poll.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
The Hill sponsored such a poll after the 2018 mid-term elections, and Trump & Romney were essentially tied 34-35, but not among GOP voters (69% DJT; 19% WMR).

CG says
I was thinking that it would probably be 40-40 with the vast majority of “undecided” or “others” being on the left side of left.
Of course everyone here would be for Mitt, right?
Zreebs says
Is your question how would I vote if the only two candidates were Trump and Mitt? I would vote for Mitt.
But there is an irony in you asking this. How would you vote if your only choices were Warren and Sanders? Would you even vote? Or write in someone else’s name?
CG says
I couldn’t vote for either of them.
That’s like me asking who you would vote for between Trump and Louie Gomhert.
Zreebs says
I would vote for one of them – probably Gomhert. I’m more concerned about an evil Republican than a stupid Republican.
Scott P says
I’d vote for Mitt in this event that would 100% never happen.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
The Washington Examiner asked Republicans, via Zogby Analytics, the same question 13 months ago, and (again) Trump trounced the Mitt (much, no doubt, to Kyle Rice’s disappointment as well as CG’s) : 64% Trump; 19% Romney; 1% Jeff Flake.

Who knows what effect the impeachment had?
CG says
I’m talking among all Americans though, D, R, and I.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
I was reading from the top and failed to include once-possible alternatives:
Trump 64 percent.
Sen. Mitt Romney 9 percent.
Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich 8 percent.
Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley 6 percent.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush 2 percent.
Former Sen. Jeff Flake 1 percent.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
A third-party bid by either Romney (after failing to rescue the GOP’s soul) or Bloomberg would just muddy things up with by far the likeliest result an easy re-election of the current President.
CG says
2nd party bid
Romney vs. Trump

CG says
In theory, I think it would be somewhat possible for Bloomberg to win a three way race with Trump and Sanders.
Zreebs says
I don’t
Scott P says
I don’t either. It’s completely hypothetical anyways. Bloomberg will support the Democratic nominee even if it is Sanders
CG says
There are signs nationally of black voters turning to Bloomberg:
https://www.thedailybeast.com/are-black-voters-quietly-turning-to-mike-bloomberg?ref=home
I keep thinking of one of our former commentators at P1 who has worked at high campaign levels for both Sanders and Bloomberg. He’s publicly known as a Berniecrat through and through but he used to tell me how much he loved Bloomberg and only wished it was possible for him to be President (but that he could never win either party’s primary.)
CG says
It looks like this person signed on to the Tim Ryan campaign first and then rejoined Bernie.
Zreebs says
why the vagueness? Who are you talking about?
CG says
You probably don’t remember him and he never posted under his “full name” so I will not type it here in this context. He did run for Congress though in the last cycle.
Zreebs says
Well then what was his P1 name?
Scott P says
Trumps’s budget slashing safety net and environmental protection programs is already the subject of a new Bloomberg ad–just hours after it was released.
I might be voting for Mike in the Missouri primary next month.
