Did Bernie Sanders tell Elizabeth Warren a woman could NOT become President?
“I think you called me a liar on national TV,” Warren told Sanders.
“What?” asked Sanders.
“I think you called me a liar on national TV,” Warren said.
“You know, let’s not do it right now. If you want to have that discussion, we’ll have that discussion,” Sanders said.
“Anytime,” Warren said.
“You called me a liar,” Sanders said, adding: “You told me — all right, let’s not do it now.”
MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski said she believed “somebody’s not telling the truth” regarding Sen. Elizabeth Warren‘s claim that Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) told her a woman could not win the presidential election.
Brzezinski appeared to suggest that the person not telling the truth might be Warren, stating that she had “a bad feeling it might be the accuser.”
“I don’t know what happened there, but somebody’s not telling the truth, and I have a bad feeling it might be the accuser,” Brzezinski added.
Warren immediately after the Tuesday night debate accused Sanders of calling her a liar on national television. The moment occurred on camera as the two spoke after the debate.
Sanders appeared to offer his hand to Warren, who confronted the Vermont senator. Sanders later walked away.
Audio of the moment released on Wednesday revealed that Warren had said Sanders appeared to have called her a liar on national television. Sanders replied that he did not want to discuss the issue at that time.
During the debate, Sanders said he never said at a December 2018 meeting with Warren that a woman could not be elected president. Warren said he had and that she disagreed during the conversation.
The battle has alarmed progressive groups and created a serious rift between the presidential race’s two most powerful liberal voices….

Who cares? Most likely, they both recall the conversation that was in 2018 at least partially differently.

For those who still think the Warren/Sanders thing is nothing?

Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) haven’t spoken since a heated exchange on the debate stage in Iowa on Tuesday, when Warren accused her rival of calling her a liar on national television.
Sanders told reporters in the Capitol on Thursday that the two leading progressive rivals for the Democratic presidential nomination haven’t made any attempt to bury the hatchet since Tuesday and declined to discuss the matter any further.
Asked if he and Warren have spoken since the debate, Sanders replied tersely: “No, we haven’t spoken.”….

It’s absolutely hilarious when the actual audio is added. Warren, Sanders, and Steyer all.
It’s a perfect “Veep/Curb Your Enthusiasm” ending.

Someone asked Warren in a phone interview yesterday if her “longtime friendship” with Sanders was now over.
She could have just laughed that off or said “of course not”, but didn’t say anything to dispute the notion.

This all seems petty on Warren’s part! I have been surprised by her reaction.

I have a feeling that this attack from Sen. Warren will backfire in about the same way that Sen. Harris’ attack on Joe Biden did.
