The Barack Obama campaign used the media like champs….
Democrats where patting themselves on back….
Hillary Clinton wasn’t good at it….
Donald Trump IS a entertainer….
BIGGER than life….
(A serial liar to boot)
Single handed booster twitter’s political business
This time?
Democrats are worried about social media and tech….
Joe Biden isn’t in the same league as Trump…(Sanders is closer)
Some advice?
Democrats better get with the program…
Donald Trump isn’t gonna stop grabbing the spotlight…
And social media isn’t going away….
One of Facebook’s biggest headaches leading up to 2020 isn’t election interference or fake news — it’s worrying about what a Democrat in the White House could mean for the business.
Why it matters: The Obama administration’s warm embrace of Big Tech is no longer shared by many Democratic policymakers and presidential hopefuls. Many of them hold Facebook responsible for President Trump’s 2016 victory, assail it for allowing misinformation to spread, and have vowed to regulate it or break it up.

George Soros accused Facebook of working to re-elect Donald Trump in this year’s U.S. election campaign in exchange for protection.
“Facebook will work to re-elect Trump and Trump will protect Facebook,” the Hungarian-born U.S. financier said in a speech in Davos on Thursday. “It makes me very concerned about the outcome of 2020.”

All of you who have Facebook (I don’t use it), better delete your accounts, or you are working to re-elect Trump.
Do the right thing Scott!

Despite enormous pressure (i.e. more and more stuff I want or want to do moving to Facebook), I’ve always been alarmed enough by the most recent privacy scare to refrain from actually signing onto Facebook. It still seems the wisest course to me, even though I’ll be able to see and do less and less.
jamesb says
DSD?
The younger user of Facebook do NOT expect privacy….
The mere fact that they are on it shows u so….
The internet ITSELF is by it’s nature not secure or private….
As I write in the post…
Obama & Co. mastered social media to run…
Hillary Clinton neglected it…
Joe Biden seems ambivalent ….
Bernie Sanders get over because of his nature and ‘look’….
Democrats cannot attack their way thru it…
They must embrace it and master it less they suffer by it’s hands…
CG says
I don’t think very many people younger than our friend Scott even use Facebook anymore.
The “kids” have moved on to other things.
jamesb says
Kids don’t vote…
Adults DO….
CG says
How do you define “kid?”
At your age, it should probably be anyone under 45.
CG says
You better hope the “kids” vote in this election!
Just not so much in the primaries….
jamesb says
Actually?
Older Democrats DO vote more….
jamesb says
Probably wrong word even though Hunter will always be Joe Biden’s ‘kid’

Yes I have a Facebook page (not sure why CG is singling that out like it makes me weird).
There are a lot of community and charity groups I am involved with in real life that use FB to organise abd disseminate information so not being on it woukd mean not being involved in these groups that do a lot of good IRL (in real life)
Yes I’m not wild about some of the issues with FB failing to curtail false stories, but it’s a trade-off one has to make.
Choosing not to be on Facebook or other social media is certainly one’s right. I don’t think it makes you any more “pure” or informed though.
CG says
George Soros is warning against it and saying it is helping Trump. Make your own choice.
Scott P says
This may shock you and FOX News but just because I am a Democrat does not mean I listen to George Soros.
CG says
What if the trade off was you have to get off Facebook in order to see Trump lose? Is that not a deal worth making?
I mean you seem to think that Illinois is going to end in a tie if I don’t vote for the Democrat in November…..
Scott P says
Just saw an ad from CG’s choice Bloomberg promising as President he would defend women’s reproductive rights on Facebook.
CG says
At least I can find a choice. You seem to be holding out for someone “perfect.” I assume Bloomberg will not expect taxpayers to pick up the tab. If not, he will be no different than the rest, as his party continues to march further and further left. That would be a problem in a general election.
If Bloomberg defeats Trump and becomes President, that is great. People will continue to fight for the Right to Life regardless of whom is President.
Goodnight.

Therd are 4 or 5 candidates I consider fantastic and would be happy to support.
When it gets closer to the March 10 Missouri primary I’ll be happy to make my choice known
