We’re getting down to nitty gritty for Democrats chasing the nomination…
The race seems to actually be between Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders…
Money is gonna evaporate from the others that do NOT have there own big piggy bank….
Former Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.) announced Friday that he was dropping out of the 2020 presidential race.
The big picture: Delaney was the first Democrat to announce his candidacy in the 2020 election, yet failed to establish himself once the field grew. In July, Axios reported that Delaney’s staff had asked him to drop out, suggesting he wasn’t spending enough money to run a competitive race and had flopped at the first debate.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
Oh, well, NOW Sens Sanders and Warren might as well pack up and endorse the Invitable Candidate Joe Biden :–)
Once John Delaney drops out, the Biden lead becomes crushingly insurmountable (if I’m not mixing metaphors); it’s all over.

He, he, he…..
VERY FUNNY DSD🤣!

So I guess this leaves Tulsi Gabbard as the only current or former House member (that did not also serve as Senator) in the running still.
Tim Ryan, Eric Swalwell, Seth Moulton, Joe Sestak, Beto O’Rourke and now Delaney all have dropped out.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
I suppose you could not divide the field as:
Four current Senators (Bennet, Klobuchar, Sanders & Warren)
Four candidates who are billionaires or former mayors or both (Bloomberg, Buttigieg, Steyer & Yang
One former Vice-President (and former Senator & Representative): Biden
On current U.S. Representative (Gabbard), and
One former Governor (Patrick).
Democratic Socialist Dave says
Note (after I eyeballed that catalogue) that 5 of the 11 current Democratic nominees have never served in Congress (Patrick, Buttigieg, Bloomberg, Steyer & Yang).
jamesb says
I’d put Bloomberg is his OWN field
The guy has more money then Trump and Steyer COMBINED….
jamesb says
Trump’s net worth has DROPPED since became President….
Zreebs says
Dave,
Andrew Yang is nowhere near a billionaire. He is believed to have a net worth under $5 million, and he was never a mayor.
