Everything under Sanders IS fluid and Sanders lead is large in some polls and close in others….
Joe Biden still holds his lead in the rest of the states going into Super Tuesday….
Sanders gains seem to have been at the expense of Elizabeth Warren….
A new CBS News poll in Iowa shows Bernie Sanders is leading the Democratic presidential race with 26%, followed by Joe Biden at 25%, Pete Buttigieg at 22%, Elizabeth Warren at 15% and Amy Klobuchar at 7%.
Key takeaway: “Party rules make 15% the typical cutoff for awarding delegates, and supporters can shift to other candidates if they don’t reach this threshold. So, it’s critical to look at voters’ second choices and who else they’re considering, too.”
“Joe Biden could get a boost from his status as the second choice of those backing Amy Klobuchar, as well as from those polling lower… Meanwhile, Warren is right on the line, and her backers’ second choice is Sanders, more so than Biden or Buttigieg. There have been several polls out in the last two weeks from later states showing Sanders ahead. james commented on one showing a large Sanders lead in Utah.
Texas and California are going to be hella expensive. You need to have the money to be on the airwaves. Biden is already trailing in the money race and he’s not exactly going to be raising a lot more with bad early showings.
Utah won’t count….
And Biden doesn’t need the same amount of money other do…..
He needs more because his only path would be to bombard them with negative ads, which is traditionally what the establishment frontrunner would do to ensure victory.
