His supporters are probably smiling among themselves……
After wondering when Biden was show this side of himself…
NEW HAMPTON, Iowa — Joe Biden lashed out at an Iowa town hall Thursday after a man suggested the former vice president helped his son get a sweetheart deal in Ukraine and was “selling access” like President Donald Trump does.
The fiery exchange with the man, who only identified himself as a non-Republican Iowa farmer, ended with Biden challenging him to a contest of push-ups, running or an IQ test before he yelled at him.
“Get your words straight, Jack!” Biden yelled at one point in a hushed room.
It was the most dramatic moment of Biden’s “No Malarkey” bus tour through Iowa and underscored the political landmines the Democratic candidate can encounter in unscripted moments on the campaign trail. Biden later denied he lost his temper, a claim belied by video of the exchange….

“You’re a damn liar, man. That’s not true. And no one has ever said that,” Biden interjected, walking up to him menacingly.
As the two talked over each other, a staffer tried to take the man’s microphone. But Biden waved him away and let the man keep the mic.
“Let him go. Let him go,” Biden said. He said that “the reason I’m running is because I’ve been around a long time and I know more than most people know and I can get things done. And that’s why I’m running.”…
The voter, who described himself as an Iowa farmer, refused to back down.
“I didn’t say you did anything wrong,” the voter replied.
“You said I set up my son to work in an oil company. Isn’t that what you said?” Biden demanded. “Get your words straight, Jack.”
Biden has long been dogged by gaffes on the campaign trail dating back to his failed White House run in 2008.
“You don’t have any more backbone than Trump does,”said the voter, prompting boos from the crowd.
The back-and-forth ended with the voter saying he would not vote for Biden and the vice president retorting that the voter was “too old to vote for me.”…

I listened to the exchange, and I don’t think Biden’s answer was adequate.
“No one said he did anything wrong” is just obviously not true, and that includes multiple people on MSNBC and CNN. If Biden used the word “illegal” instead of “wrong”, then that would be acceptable. But even that is borderline, because people on Fox News are floating all sorts of conspiracy theories about illegal activities.
Biden will need to say something like “I did nothing to help Hunter get that job, and if Hunter got the job because the company thought I would help them, then they don’t know who I am”.
This issue is guaranteed to come up again because of Biden’s poor answer.
Biden’s exchange was a welcome relief from his cautious tone up to now….
The crowd rode with Biden, and this happened in Iowa a place where Biden NEEDS to make headlines…
Yes, REPUBLICANS ARE gonna try to get as much out this as they can, even if Hunter was cleared of any wrong doing….

That came off to me as Trump-like.
As did calling him “fat”.
I heard “fat” too. Although he might have been calling him Jack. Earlier he did say something like “Get your words right, Jack”. More likely, he mistakenly called him “fat”, probably unintentionally.
I don’t think that an angry response is necessarily bad, but Biden’s response didn’t appear to be adequately self filtered. The public won’t and shouldn’t blame Joe for anything Hunter did.
Bottom line is that I don’t expect this to hurt Biden. He appears to have more Teflon than that other Democratic candidates.
From the videotapes I’ve seen, on Stephen Colbert and CBS News, Joe Biden said both “fat”, as the second word of his first response and “Jack” at the end of another response.
I didn’t care for Bidens performance either but there are a lot of Democrats who want the Democratic candidates to get more “tough.”
Some of them are probably applauding it.
Was the guy’s name Jack – or did Biden just make it up?
Perhaps the guy had a “My Name is Jack” label on his shirt? I wonder … naaah ….!

It sounded generic, as in ‘I’m all right, Jack’, ‘What’s your problem, Jack ? ’, or ‘Listen to me, Jack, ..’
As for possible T-shirts, maybe it said ‘Make Jack Great Again’ .
Maybe Biden watched The Irishman the night before.
