Joe Biden doesn’t knock Republicans….
He’s knocking South Carolina Republican Lindsey Graham…
Graham (R-S.C.) requested new documents Thursday from the State Department, attempting to uncover additional information related to Hunter Biden’s activities when he was on the board of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma.
“Lindsey is about to go down in a way that I think he’s going to regret his whole life,” Joe Biden said on CNN. Asked by host Don Lemon what he would say to his longtime Senate colleague, Biden responded, “I say: ‘Lindsey, I just — I’m just embarrassed by what you’re doing, for you. I mean, my Lord.’ ”…
…
“He’s the nicest person I think I’ve ever met in politics. He is as good a man as God ever created. I think he’s been dealt a really gut blow,” Graham said. “I think he focuses on what he’s got to do, not what he lost. His heart’s been ripped out, but he’s going to make sure that the other members of his family are well taken care of.”
As part of a series of tributes just before Biden’s term as vice president ended, Graham lavished praised on Biden, called him “a fierce competitor” who “never takes the fight too far.”
“In a political world getting more contentious by the day, with even greater divisions and an increasing lack of civility,” Graham said, “Joe Biden has always stood out.”….
Note…
I seems that in his efforts to ingraciate himself to Trump ?
Graham has turned on Biden…

My Name Is Jack says
Graham is just one of many Republicans who, as time goes on ,will be called upon to explain their actions in the “Trump Years.”
jamesb says
True THAT Jack…..
Democratic Socialist Dave says
Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of the Republican Party/
I remind the witness that he is under oath.
Zreebs says
History won’t treat Graham well. He will be viewed as someone who just cared about being elected, a hypocrite of the absolute worst kind.
But even if Trump never came along, history wouldn’t be kind to modern day Republicans for other reasons. It may be that Trump gave these Republicans the opportunity to show who they are, but These Republicans are essentially the same people that CG was praising before Trump got elected. A few had consciences, but they have retired.
jamesb says
Graham has always gone back and forth with independence and them scurring back to the party line….
My Name Is Jack says
And he will be praising them again.
CG has made it clear that ,while he has been mildly critical of Republicans who back Trump, all will be forgiven once Trump exits the scene.
Indeed in 2024 ?CG will be rabidly supporting for President a Trump supporter, maybe even one who will oppose Trumps removal in an impeachment trial.
As I have stated on many occasions,CG is the same Republican he’s always been.He just doesn’t like Trump.
Zreebs says
CG genuinely doesn’t understand that Trumpism captures what the base of the GOP has always wanted, and unless he is defeated – preferably by humiliation- the Republican Party will remains in its image – just as Reagan changed the GOP in the 1980s for at least 25 years.
And despite what CG thinks, the Democratic Party is not just like the GOP – where ethics and morality don’t matter.
My Name Is Jack says
CG and I have had a lot of back and forth on this over the last year or so.
He basically feels that once Trump is gone, the party will return to where it was say six years or so ago and he would fit in quite nicely with that.
Similar to you ,I have opined that Trump has fundamentally changed the GOP and that “Trumpism” will survive Trump.
I have never been clear as to whether CG is as opposed to “Trumpism” as he is to Trump personally.
CG says
Then you aren’t as bright as I assumed.
Amazing that I have to be such a focus on the weekend. What is that about? Besides continued demonstrative hypocrisy.
As I have said before, I would be bored if people did not have disagreements with me, but these sweeping personal generalizations that are not even close to being true are tiresome and impossible to keep correcting. I could get the same thing elsewhere on the internet.
It just looks to me like if somebody is not willing to fully embrace your “tribe”, they are going to get attacked. Probably a waste of my time.
Zreebs says
I’m not sure what we said that you are offended by.
Both Jack and I frequently vote for Republicans and both of us have frequently criticized Democrats.
This thought you have that you are non partisan is a joke. You are just too embarrassed to support Trump because you know deep down that he is as close to evil as a politician can be, and you know correctly that in the long term, Trump is a black eye on the GOP.
And if either of us did mistake your position, then surely you can forgive us for the many times you misstated our positions.
CG says
There can be no bigger misstatement that I “support Trump.” This concept that I am secretly a Trump apologist is just as ridiculous as what I hear at HHR, where they state I am secretly a left-wing socialist. Likely, neither they or the few people here actually believe these things, but it is “tribalism” personified, just because someone will not go all in on agreeing with a political party.
Since you brought yourself up that “frequently”vote for Republicans? Really? You weren’t able to name a single one you voted for when this was last brought up. You ought to just embrace being a down the line Democrat. At least it would be honest. Can you now name the Republicans you have voted for?
jack does vote for Trump supporting Republicans on occasion which makes his attacks on others who vote for Republicans purely hypocritical. He says things on here just to get a rise out of me. I guess I’ve been dumb enough to let him. I think I am finished with it though.
Zreebs says
Nobody said you support Trump. That is a misstatement on your part.
I do frequently vote Republican – usually about 30% of the people I vote for are Republicans. Do I remember the names of the failed local or state candidates who you only see their names the month before the election? No I don’t. Nobody who knows me personally would accuse me of being a liar. i understand your personal need to think of yourself as more nonpartisan than the rest of us. But truthfully, I don’t care what you think of me. After all of these years, do you really think I respect your values?
Lastly, if you are going to complain about perceived personal attacks, then how about stopping your “real” personal attacks on Keith?
My Name Is Jack says
Will you State now that you will never vote for aRepublican who supported Trump?
Of course you won’t.
So we can easily dispose of that canard can’t we?
My Name Is Jack says
Also you have said that if Trump were removed from office you would support Mike Pence if he became the Republican candidate.
Mike Pence?Trumps lapdog? And you want to criticize me for voting for a Republican for a minor state office?
What a damn joke!
My Name Is Jack says
I simply stated that you are aRepublican who opposes Trump and that you and I disagreed on whether Trumpism survives Trump.
What’s the big deal?
I’ve said the same thing many times before.
Your thoroughly emotional outburst is largely due,in my view, to Your suspecting that Zreebs and I are correct, that Trump has fundamentally changed the Republican Party.
And so you somehow extrapolate from this that we are upset because you aren’t a Democrat?
Absurd.
As for me not being “bright?”
Ah it’s just a burden I will bear.
jamesb says
I agree that Trump is just an amplification of basic GOPerism at its worst….I WAS the one who kept pointing out the Trump started off with vestiges of ‘Big Apple’ moderate Republicanism… (Bush II had some of the same thing)….But ALL THAT is long gone as people point out here ….
The party WILL go thru rough times as it JAS to move back away somewhat from the rightwingnuts to counter the loses they have in next years elections…..
No matter what?
The party is in for rough sledding in the future … There is NO DOUBT in this dogs mind that the Trump admin running out of gas…
But Democrats need to be careful…
Hillary Clinton waited till the last months to screw up…
jamesb says
Once Trump leaves the stage?
Things gonna go SIDEWAYS…
Some people are talking about Nikki Haley as part of the parties future?
Anybody see this working?
Keith says
A Trump apologist is offended when he is described as a Trump apologist. Go figure.
First, there is only one person here who has voted exclusively Republican for the 20 plus years of his voting history.
But second, if you consistently support people who support Trump, then you support Trump.
Corey can’t pass the Duck Test, but he does offense well, very well.
He claims he’s interested in fairness, but continues to support a homophobic party that puts little children in cages. And, a party that remains silent while its President consorts with brutal dictators. Trump will do to them what he did to the Kurds.
Scott P says
Republicans lock Trump’s asshole and tell the world it tastes like cotton candy.
Want to end this fucking madness.
Vote for a Democrat.
Republicans won’t save you.
Nor will a third party or independent.
Vote for the only party that has held Trump accountable.
The Democrats.
No one else has.
Zreebs says
I would like to see an America that is dominated by liberals but also has more than a few conservatives in the Senate and House.
But this crop of conservatives are hopelessly corrupt and have no interest in good government. They are only interested in winning, gaining power for themselves, and pushing their way at all cost – even if it destroys ou institutions in the process.
Trumpians won’t be able to change on their own. They must be defeated. Hopefully the next batch of conservatives that will at some point in the future replace this group will work for the good of the country. But this group must be defeated for that to happen.
Zreebs says
The reason I believe that Trumpism will survive – especially if he wins again is that Trumpism has been remarkably successful when you consider how popular Trump is despite his corruption. So Republicans now know how to energize their base., and they know know that corruption doesn’t bother their base.
jamesb says
One caution…..
Donald Trump IS walking Entertainment show…
His successors will NOT have a footprint as LARGE as him….
My Name Is Jack says
I don’t doubt pdisagree.
However, my point is that Trump has changed the norms.
Whereas serious candidates dates used to refrain from acting the “crazy,”Trump has proven that such is quite ok with the Republican Party as a whole.
So look for others to adopt at least part of his persona in the future.
With Republicans?It works.
jamesb says
Yup….
BTW?
If GOPer’s lose BIG next year?
All bets are off on their future in the short run…
Both parties always come back…
Zreebs says
I saw establishment Republicans Roger Wicker and John Kennedy on the news yesterday essentially supporting Trump’s argument that Ukraine may have been interfering in our elections.
This crew of Republicans is working so that Russia can continue to interfere in our elections and give themselves another term in power.
I am very serious when I say that Trump won’t leave office if he loses and Republicans will support him.
