With Donald Trump and company making direct attacks to the whistleblower against Trump’s Ukraine action’s?
We find one Republican House member defending the person and process and a Republican US Senator doing the same…
Rep. Paul Mitchell (R-Mich.), a member of House Republican leadership, pushed back against President Trump on Tuesday after the president tweeted criticism of the whistleblower at the center of the Ukraine probe.
“Whistleblowers are protected by law, even if we don’t necessarily like what they say. We must respect that law,” the Michigan Republican tweeted at Trump.
His comment came in response to a tweet from the president that questioned the credibility of the whistleblower and called for his identity to be revealed….
…
GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley (Iowa) has also come out in defense of whistleblower protections.
“This person appears to have followed the whistleblower protection laws and ought to be heard out and protected. We should always work to respect whistleblowers’ requests for confidentiality,” Grassley, who chairs the Senate Whistleblower Protection Caucus, said in a statement.
“No one should be making judgments or pronouncements without hearing from the whistleblower first and carefully following up on the facts. Uninformed speculation wielded by politicians or media commentators as a partisan weapon is counterproductive and doesn’t serve the country,” he added….
Note…
Rep. Mitchell (R-Mich) isn’t running for re-election…

I don’t know if you meant this thing be complimentary or not.
I find the fact that only two Republicans in Congress are coming forward to do this pathetic.

Tired of their “concern,” they need to take action like demand the White House turn over the relevant documents concerning Trump’s treasonous phone call or join Chuck Grassley (who isn’t running again) in defending the Whistle Blower.
Or better yet, why doesn’t Saint Mitt challenge Trump for the nomination? They could fight for the soul of a soulless party. But right now it’s a Party of Two. Real profile in courage.

C’mon Jack. Maybe the 99% of elected Republicans who have been silent don’t take Trump “literally” or “don’t believe” Trump’s attacks on the whistleblower

Our democracy is at risk. And that is not an understatement.
And I am getting a little tired of some people just blaming Trump for the corruption and unethical behavior. It is the elected Republicans thay are enabling him.

Absolutely! They are complicit. And need to be voted out!
