She overlooked dodging sniper fire in Bosnia as First Lady??
I know how much you guys enjoy revisiting her 2016 campaign so I might add that her showing up at the 9/11 memorial event that year while having pneumonia was pretty gutsy…..
And ultimately a huge mistake.
Had Hillary not shown up at that event Republicans just would have spread conspiracy theories that she was near death.
The hate is that deep there. She couldn’t have won.

Honesty and prudence would of course be the best policy in any President.

The number of people who believe what Trump says is very small… much smaller than those who voted or might vote for him or who approve of him as President.
Plenty of his voters say they choose to not take him literally.

Donald Trump has taken it to a daily art form and constantly lies and makes untrue statements .Today for instance he said that Democrats support human trafficking.
Like you said, his supporters ,about 80-90% of the Republican Party “don’t care.”
That’s the reality of the Republican Party in the fall of 2019.Live with it.

It seems very much like tribalists on all sides will excuse anything as long as it results in an outcome they think is worth it.
I would point to the Bret Kavanaugh saga and what people were willing to say about him as fact when they either did not actually believe it or had no actual idea if it could be true or not. To me, that’s just as bad as anything Trump has ever said about a particular individual.
You start excusing or looking the other way at same lies as ,”well, they ALL do it” and you wind up with Trump as an end result. Lying has become normalized and compartmentalized.
If we continue down this path, one day there will be someone who does it more often and more freely than Trump does now.

What message are they sending when they say that those who cross the border without authorization should receive totally free health care by the government? It sounds like they encouraging more people to cross. And when people are in very bad situations, who can blame them for wanting to?
And Republicans send a “very bad message” when they embrace the hateful anti iimmigrant rhetoric of Donald Trump.
This type of incessant “whataboutism “ is irrelevant in the extreme to the present situation in this country today.
And that is that the country is being led by an unstable individual that you yourself have labeled a “psychopath.”
Getting rid of him should be the number one objective of all of us.Others?Still want to talk about Hillary Clinton and various “whataboutisms” that in some weird way are suppose to justify or at least “explain”the almost universal support Republicans show for this “psychopath.”

The “whataboutism” is a boomerang. You do plenty of it. Both sides want to get away with what they see the other side getting away with.
Our problems are greater than just Trump himself or the office he holds. I deplore the fact that he holds it but that did not happen just as some mystical fluke. There are reasons that made it possible and as long as those are ignored, we have learned nothing.
