Hasn’t got one of his trade agreements ‘deals’…
Has worked hard to build a wall that Mexico was supposed to pay for…
But hasn’t build one mile of new wall….
Has had Congress and the courts bar him from going much further….
Now has taken money from other projects Congress oked to have the American tax payer pay for his wall…
Has continued to make rent money off the America taxpayer’s by using his own commercial property…
Has been so scared of Joe B identikits taking his job that he has set a separate group of people to try and use aid money as leverage to make up stuff about Biden’s son…
Has shut the government down for over a month to get nothing…
Has stonewalled Congress from asking questions of government employee’s that Congress pays only to have other government employee’s come forward to reveal what he and others have been trying to do in secret …
And?
After Robert Mueller wouldn’t go after him?
Has House Democrats and SERIOUSLY on his case…..
And not in public…
But in private have increasing numbers of his own party worried about his and their future….
How long will this broken act keep going?
Former Trump White House officials and other Republicans close to the White House are increasingly worried about President Trump’s erratic behavior and say there are no longer enough safeguards around him to prevent self-inflicted disasters large and small.
Just in the last two weeks, Trump precipitously withdrew U.S. troops from northern Syria and attacked America’s Kurdish allies as “no angels,” sparking outrage among GOP lawmakers; released a letter to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan whose undiplomatic language was widely mocked; called his former defense secretary “the world’s most overrated general”; and blew up at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during a meeting his own White House had called.
His acting chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, also admitted on national television that the administration had held up aid to Ukraine for political purposes, before reversing himself hours later on Trump’s orders and claiming his remarks had been “misconstrued.”
Under the strain of a metastasizing impeachment probe on Capitol Hill and helming an administration run by a diminishing number of heavyweight officials of independent stature, the president is displaying the kind of capricious behavior that once might have been contained or at least mitigated, former officials say.
“The wheels are not off the car. The situation is way worse than that. The car has been impounded and we are now waiting to figure out what the fine is and to see whether or not we’re going to get the car back,” said former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci. “Mulvaney is a good Catholic and in fairness to him, that was a full-blown Catholic confessional on Thursday afternoon.”
Trump has never felt shackled by traditional ways of running a government. But earlier in his administration, “there was enough guardrails around Trump or enough caution on his part that when he did things that were more impulsive, they had less significance and fewer external ramifications,” said a former White House official.
Now it’s become more of a one-man White House and government.
Trying to constrain Trump is “a pipe dream,” said one current White House official. “Everyone who has tried had eventually failed in some way.”
“It’s just looking like everything is coming apart,” said a former White House official. Another former senior West Wing aide agreed that the White House seemed to be “a little bit unraveling” in recent days…..

You and another here have been on this “kick “ for awhile.
What?We are supposed to sympathize with these poor Republicans “say in private..”
Horse manure!
They’re two bit cowards.Who gives a damn what these worthless bastards say “in private.”
Until the are willing to express their views in public? They are as much a problem as Trump.
Their conduct is totally contemptible.

Yeah that’s why I’m doubtful of CG’s prediction that a half dozen or more GOP Senators will vote to convict.

Republicans still Overwhelmingly support Donald Trump.Do you deny that? And THAT is the whole issue. And That is my point.
So take “private talk “ and hoist that along with your other desperate attempts to “prove “ that Republicans are turning against Trump.

After receiving some home state criticism over his outspoken bashing of Trumps moves in Syria,Lindsay “the Worm” Graham is inching back into the bosom of the Cult.
He now says that he will withhold any further criticism of Trumps Syria moves until the whole matter fleshes itself out.
No mention of exactly when this might be.
An example of how base Republicans are much more supportive of Trumps policy than Congressional Republicans.Grahams move will likely be repeated by other Republicans in Congress as the home state Cultists express their ire at them for daring to criticize their Leader.
CG says
Lindsey also said that sure, he might wind up voting to convict Trump in the Senate as well if the evidence point to a quid pro quo (spoiler alert: it does)
He’s just trying to have it both ways on everything, not that a U.S. Senator should not have an open mind on impeachment matters.
Democratic Socialist Dave says
Like Trump, the largely low-information base just hopes that the rest of the world would go away and that a newly Great America could get away from the rest of the world.
To be fair, those members of the GOP/Trump Base are substantially more likely to be called into military service in Southwest Asia (with accompanying death and injury under live fire), or to know someone who might be, than many of the fiercest anti-Trump base.
Almost none of these conflicts seem to have been resolved completely, even with U.S. intervention, so it’s only natural for military members, or their friends and family, to just wish for a quick, simple withdrawal.
And if they know a little, they blame the neo-conservatives, neo-nationalists and other hawks in Washington for starting these endless wars — just the folks that Donald Trump takes such joy in bashing.

Likely the goofball meant that the attack on him for allegedly violating it was “phony;”however, his actual words seem to imply that the clause itself doesn’t really exist.

This scandal is more fun than Blake Farenthold or Joe Barton…
CG says
Katie Hill has indeed broken the glass ceiling of being the first ever female Member of Congress to ever face an Ethics investigation over a sexual matter.
It wasn’t that long ago that Chris Lee has to resign from Congress for taking a shirtless mirror selfie. He didn’t even have any tattoos.
I am reluctant to examine the photos while at work but it appears that Hill posed fully nude (with a bong) on wife sharing sites a couple years ago. People will have to determine whether she has a Nazi Iron Cross on her body or if it is some sort of other cross design. I hope it’s the latter, but I am sure some Ethics Committee members will want to make extra sure….

Deplorables, ‘Human Scum,’ and a party without a future
By Nestor Ramos [Boston] Globe Staff,
October 25, 2019, 7:33 p.m.
For the Furrowed Brow Society, things are finally looking up.
Small in number and feeble in influence, so-called “Never Trumper” Republicans have spent three years now peeking out from behind the congressional drapes to express dismay over President Trump’s antics.
Your John Kasiches, your Mitt Romneys, your Bens Sasse: They are among a handful of national Republican figures who all reliably emerge to criticize Trump on the occasion of his latest embarrassment. After every new indignity, the informal society assembles like an ineffectual version of the Avengers. Picture Captain America and Iron Man just sort of grunting ruefully and shaking their heads while they watch Fox News.
Has this resulted in any noticeable change in the president’s policy or demeanor? Of course not. Will the Republican Party finally come to its senses and turn to this crew to lead it into the future? Also no.
. . . But!
The air of desperation surrounding the president these days has to be heartening. Even some Frequent Trumpers are starting to wonder whether it might be time to get off the train. Suddenly, the Never Trumpers are so ascendant that Trump is lashing out at them, pleading with his administration officials to stop giving them jobs (this would seem to be within his control, but whatever).
Get Metro Headlines in your inbox
And so we’ve reached a remarkable moment in the discourse: Some of these people seem positively delighted to be called — this is almost unbelievable, but I promise it’s true — “human scum.”
“The Never Trumper Republicans, though on respirators with not many left, are in certain ways worse and more dangerous for our Country than the Do Nothing Democrats,” Trump tweeted on Wednesday afternoon, amid a fairly standard-issue tirade and blizzard of bonkers retweets. “Watch out for them, they are human scum!”
Hey, at least he called them “human,” which is more grace than he usually affords immigrants. But even in today’s uniquely debased political culture, the phrase “human scum” would seem to rise below our very low bar. And yet . . .
“Apparently, I’m human scum,” the conservative cybersecurity expert and former homeland security official Paul Rosenzweig wrote in The Atlantic, in a column headlined “I’m Proud to Be Called Human Scum.”
If you’re keeping score at home, the Republican Party is now overwhelmingly composed of people gleefully calling themselves “deplorable,” and a separate, opposed group proudly self-identifying as “human scum.”
Extremely normal, healthy stuff.
So I reached out to one of the few Republicans I could think of who does not seem to be in a hurry to brand himself as some sort of nightmare person — who seems to genuinely want to rise above all this: America’s Most Popular Governor™ Charlie Baker. Baker doesn’t spend a lot of time firing back at the president’s daily dumpster fire, which is probably wise.
“Governor Baker and Lt. Governor Polito did not support President Trump because he doesn’t have the right temperament for the office,” Baker’s press secretary, Sarah Finlaw, said in an e-mail, “and the administration doesn’t respond to sophomoric name-calling and will stay focused on working for the residents of Massachusetts. Washington, DC would be well served to follow suit.”…
