Nobody else is 78 years old and having chest paints while running for President. It’s just a reality that might cause major problems for his campaign. His health of course should come first, especially since his supporters would not want to see a Republican become a Senator from Vermont.

Age discrimination is rampant in private industry. I have seen some extremely talented people who were over 55 have a hard time trying to land a job.
It is ironic that we would consider voting for President someone that is over 75, as that person would likely struggle to hold a job in private industry.
I have never worked with anyone who is over 75 – and I have worked with thousands of people.
I’m trying to imagine Bernie working in the private sector, period.
I can’t imsgine Trump working period.

Sad to hear about Bernie. I hope he takes time off- and decides to drop out of the race.
The country owes Bernie a lot ofgratitude for the issues he raised – usually when it was unpopular to do so. There is no one I can think of who could talk about economic justice as effectively as him.
I think that a lot of Betnie’s Support will go to Warren, but probably less than some people think.
I agree that Bernie dropping out should help Warren and hurt Biden….
Someone on staff has put out that Sanders WOULD be at the next Democratic debate….
