Employment growth in blue-collar suburbs that supported President Trump in 2016 is lagging behind the rest of the country, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The big picture: Trump’s job-approval rating in manufacturing-heavy counties in the Midwest and Northeast has risen since he entered office, despite low economic growth. The 77 counties analyzed by the WSJ backed Trump by a margin of 13 percentage points in 2016.

As U have pointed out…
On any given day we see different polls…

As I mentioned the other day “key” voters in one election may not be key in the next.
Trump won the Electoral College by 70,000 votes across 3 states.
Voters in Macomb County Michigan or Green Bay may have made the difference in 2016–but in 2020 if the urban vote increases and the suburbsn vote shifts blue like it did in the midterms those medium sized rust belt cities will no longer be “key”.

We ARE seeing parts of Trump’s voting support peel away since the 2016 election…
Suburban white GOPer women…
While i just did the support piece for the Rust Belt…I kinda think he’s gonna STILL have a fall out in votes there…Some of Trump’s inability to deliver HAS to have repercussions….
