I have argued AGAINST a outright impeachment vote against Donald Trump right now…
The American public doesn’t support it….
The votes are NOT there in the US Senate from the Republican majority and even some Democratic Senator’s…
As we have come to see?
Removing an American President has little to0 do with criminal activity….
It WILL come down to one thing I believe…
If polling shows that American’s across the country turn against Republicans efforts to support Trump?
Those Senator’s could begin to desert their support of Trump….
THAT is the key….
I am against charging Trump and him walking away from the charges with another victory like he did against the Mueller investigation …
The man wasn’t supposed to become President…
Now that he is?
He proves to us everyday why him having the job is wrong…
One can only hope that he will continue to make things worst for HIMSELF…
This is NO slam dunk…
Removing a sitting President IS a very difficult thing….
But no prosecutor charges someone that they know will NOT be convicted…
(Irregardless of guilt)
I’m with that…..

I wonder how some people would have theoretically approached Civil Rights legislation decades ago, if there were not believed to be enough votes to overcome a Senate filibuster and the polls showed political risk….

Trump apologists often cite the Harris/Hill poll because it has had him with a somewhat higher JA than other polls.
Today, they show support for impeachment has increased 12 points since the last time they asked the question.
47- support
42- oppose
11- not sure
Democrat support went from 59 to 78 in favor
Republican support for impeachment went from 5 to 18.
So, virtually the same level of increase based on this new story for Republicans as compared to Democrats.
The number of Independents supporting “doubled” to 41%.

Thee days ago, Rasmussen had Trump’s JA at 53% and Rush Limbaugh said this was because of the backlash over the impeachment story and he predicted by Friday that Trump would be at least at 55% percent in that poll as more people became engaged in this story.
Not quite. It’s gone down every day the last three days and is at 48% now.

So if James is honest when he says he will support impeachment hearings when the public does, then he will probably support them in a about a week.

We’ll see Z….
The US Seante…
AND…
Pelosi will be the key……

I’m NOT talking about a 3 or 4% majority either….
It’s gotta be OVER 60-65%….

A new DCCC poll asked if the respondent would be more likely to vote for a candidate who “sided with Nancy Pelosi and supported an impeachment investigation into Donald Trump,” or someone who “sided with Mitch McConnell and opposed an impeachment investigation into Donald Trump.”
The result: 49% would vote for the candidate who sided with Pelosi, compared to 38% for the candidate who sided with McConnell….
Politicalwire…

Well that didn’t take long for you to change your mind.
