The government of the United States holding people for an indefinite period of times in interment camps reminds ME and others of the two things I mention….

There are certainly legitimate debates that can be had about the appropriate way to deal with the people who voluntarily cross into the United States in an illegal manner. Our standards as a nation should definitely cause us to treat them humanely and specifically we have expressed the desire that families should not be
separated.
However, that is a far, far, far different circumstance of a government rounding up people who are citizens and or who live within a country legally and taking them *against their will* to an internment camp, when those people did absolutely nothing wrong.
The internment of Japanese-American citizens during war time was a dark blot on our national history. Even that though cannot be compared to what was done in Nazi Europe either.

There are hundreds of thousands of outstanding cases and just 300 or so immigration judges , whose assoc is fighting the government that wants to have them just say’s’ to all asylum requests…

The proposal is not rounding up immigrants. It is for a place to put the people who show up illegally at the border, when they show up. (aka not at official Ports of Entry.)
As I said, we can discuss what should happen to those people, but what exactly is the alternative?
Either we send them back immediately and force them to have a very dangerous journey (with kids in many cases) back, or we transport them to a country they are fleeing in the first place, or we have to find a place to put them until all cases can be heard. Yes, we need more judges too.

If you were to actually understand what you read, you would find that this specific policy is designed especially to keep children and parents together. It is trying to remedy a problem, however flawed it might be and whatever needs to be examined and debated about that.
But those thoughts are too complex for you.
If you dislike a politician or a party so much that you are fine with completely open borders just to spite him and them, then own up to that, but that’s no way to govern, regardless of how bad any President is. Responsible people actually have to think things through and compromise.

People are not being rounded up in the U.S. because of their religion (and never have. FDR, the hero of your party, rounded up people due to skin color.)
This debate is nowhere close to that.
Presently, we have to decide what we do with people who despite all warnings not to, and all barriers that are attempted to keep them out, illegally show up in the U.S.
Again, there is plenty to debate as to what the specific policy should be in regards to what happens to them in the short and long term, but just perhaps in this case, the U.S. government is actually trying to do something to make a bad situation a little better, (i.e. no more family separations)
