After President Trump mentioned 2016 rival Hillary Clinton at a reelection campaign rally in Cincinnati, the crowd broke into a chant of “lock her up.”
Trump mentioned his former opponent and her use of the term “deplorable” to describe a segment of Trump supporters.
“Do you remember when Hillary used the word ‘deplorable’?” he said. “Deplorable was not a good day for Hillary. Crooked Hillary. She is a crooked one,” he said, adding, “She is crooked.”
After this, the crowd began to chant “lock her up,” a refrain that supporters of the president commonly used during the 2016 election….

Most of the Democrat contenders are openly talking about locking Trump up after they take over.
What’s the difference?
And some of them, most recently Booker, have talked about punching him in the face.
The difference is Hillary is a private citizen. Trump is not.
Once Trump is one again legal experts have mused he is likely to face prosecution.

Personally, I’d like to see Trump wind up behind bars.
My hunch is that he will never actually go to prison.
I think Hillary has suffered enough by virtue of losing to Trump and do not want to see her behind bars, but it is also true that if she had been a lower level government employee, she probably would have done time.
And if what we knew about her came out while she was still Secretary of State, as opposed to a former Secretary of State, she certainly would have had to be fired from her post.
Nonetheless, the Democrats nominated her for President, stood by her, and we got Donald Trump as a result.
