Former Vice President Joe Biden leads the crowded Democratic field by six points in an Economist/YouGov poll released on Wednesday.
The poll found Biden as the first choice for 22 percent of those surveyed, followed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) with 16 percent and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) with 13 percent.
Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigiegrounded out the top five, both with 8 percent, according to the poll.
The survey, conducted Aug. 3-6 among 1500 U.S. adult citizens, found Biden continuing to maintain stronger numbers among African American voters than the general primary electorate, with 33 percent identifying him as their first choice, followed by 13 percent for Warren and 10 percent for Sanders….
Former Vice President Joe Biden leads former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D) among Lone Star State 2020 presidential primary voters, according to a poll conducted by Emerson College for the Dallas Morning News.
In the poll released Tuesday, conducted among 1,033 registered voters from Aug. 1 to 3, Biden leads the Democratic White House field with 27.7 percent, followed by O’Rourke with 19 percent and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) with 15.7 percent.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg(D) round out the top five, with 13.7 percent and 7.2 percent, respectively…..
Emerson’s latest poll found the former vice president was the top choice of 33 percent of likely Democratic voters, 13 points ahead of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who placed second with 20 percent support.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) finished third in the survey at 14 percent support.
While Sanders gained 5 points since Emerson’s last survey, Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) fell 4 points to 11 percent…..
