Donald Trump and Stephen Miller keep going in their vain efforts to clean the country of immigrants…
While Trump has said millions?
The number is sure to never reach that amount…
But America IS becoming a nation that holds thousand captive in sub-human Denton and is about to add thousands more…
It is also become known that the ICE officials themselves have become concerned and uncomfortable over their orders….The NY Times has reported that there has been a internal struggle within the Department of Homeland Security over the order for the raids and the action against families and children…
There will be immediate legal challenges filed in the courts…
Nationwide raids to arrest thousands of members of undocumented families have been scheduled to begin Sunday, according to two current and one former homeland security officials, moving forward with a rapidly changing operation, the final details of which remain in flux. The operation, backed by President Trump, had been postponed, partly because of resistance among officials at his own immigration agency.
The raids, which will be conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement over multiple days, will include “collateral” deportations, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the preliminary stage of the operation. In those deportations, the authorities might detain immigrants who happened to be on the scene, even though they were not targets of the raids.
When possible, family members who are arrested together will be held in family detention centers in Texas and Pennsylvania. But because of space limitations, some might end up staying in hotel rooms until their travel documents can be prepared. ICE’s goal is to deport the families as quickly as possible.
The officials said ICE agents were targeting at least 2,000 immigrants who have been ordered deported — some as a result of their failure to appear in court — but who remain in the country illegally. The operation is expected to take place in at least 10 major cities….
…
Agents have expressed apprehensions about arresting babies and young children, officials have said. The agents have also noted that the operation might have limited success because word has already spread among immigrant communities about how to avoid arrest — namely, by refusing to open the door when an agent approaches one’s home. ICE agents are not legally allowed to forcibly enter a home.
Immigration defense lawyers are likely to file motions to reopen the families’ immigration cases, which would significantly delay, if not stop altogether, their removal from the United States….

These are people who failed to appear in court.
A citizen who fails to appear in Court would have awarrant issued for his arrest.
What’s your point? That these people shouldn’t be deported?
That’s absurd.
Do you even understand what the article is about?
Trumps mouthing aside, this is what ICE is supposed to do.

Illegal entry into the country is civil offence for the first offence….
It can be bumped up to 6 months in prison which would be a misdemonor most places…
How many extradtions or warrant’s with jail time they do where have worked?
Trump wants ANYBODY that pops in the contact point checked?
That means a raid for one person could involve ten or more?
Trump says Millions?
The estimate is MILLIONS….
But ICE people themselves do NOT want the whole family thing dropped in their lap…
ICE doesn’t want to have the warehouse hundreds of thousands of people IN ADDITION to the border CBP detainee’s…
I agree that skipping the hearing just means the system ain’t working for those who ain’t following the rules and ain’t fair to those who do…
The concept of Trump going political on this sucks…
Trump isn’t about a fair immigration system…
he’s about getting votes in circling the wagons about immigration and wanting subhuman conditions that you wouldn’t accept for people your cops brought in even for felonies….

Elizabeth Warren on Thursday unveiled her plan to reform the nation’s immigration system amid a deepening crisis over detention at the southern border and a fraught debate across the country and within the Democratic Party on the way forward.
Among other things, the proposal calls for allowing more immigrants to come into the country legally, lifting the refugee cap from 30,000 under the Trump administration to 125,000 and then 175,000; a revamp of the immigration court system to establish independence from Justice Department leaders; and the creation of an “Office of New Americans” tasked with facilitating integration, including teaching English….

Former Vice President Joe Biden outlined his immigration policy in an op-ed published Monday in the Miami Herald.
Biden, among the leading contenders in the crowded 2020 Democratic presidential field, ripped President Trump and contrasted sharply his stance on immigration.
Biden assailed Trump’s push for a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border and called his policies an “assault the dignity of the Latin community and scare voters to turn out on Election Day.”
“We are a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants. Our country is made up of hard-working, aspirational people from every culture, from every nation — and that is an indisputable strength,” he writes.
Biden’s plan calls for Congress to pass the Dream Act, which would give a path to citizenship to millions of undocumented immigrants who arrived in the U.S. as minors.
He also proposed improving the asylum process and using federal funding on increased spending for screening at the border and technological advances, as opposed to a wall.
Biden also advocated for diplomatic solutions with Central American countries as a way to ease the increase in migrants attempting to enter the U.S.
He slammed Trump’s policies as dehumanizing for treating migrants like and calling them “animals.”…

Six participants in a sit-in at Joe Biden’s Centre Square campaign headquarters in Center City were arrested Wednesday afternoon, after hours of protests and demands for an apology from the former vice president of the United States.

(CNN)Sen. Kamala Harris on Wednesday announced a plan to expand the use of deferred action immigration programs as president and use executive actions to remove the threat of deportation of millions of undocumented people in the United States.
The plan, which the California Democrat is rolling out ahead of a trip to Nevada on Friday, would work within the current confines of immigration law and assumes Congress would be unable to pass immigration reform, something the body has failed to do for years. Her plan, should she be elected in 2020, would instead expand the use of deferred action immigration programs and use executive actions.
Harris would look to remove barriers that prevent many so-called Dreamers — undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children — from receiving legal status by applying for a green card. The plan would also expand the use of deferred action programs to cover parents of US citizens and legal permanent residents, veterans and undocumented immigrants who have been in the United States for years….

Sen. Bernie Sanders pushed back Sunday against claims that he supports an open border policy, adding that poverty across the globe would cause an influx of migrants to the border if that system were in place.
During a town hall in Oskaloosa, Iowa, Sanders was asked by an attendee about how the United States can afford to fund social services such as health care, with an open borders policy.
The attendee also claimed the Vermont senator is “an advocate for open borders.”
“I’m afraid you may be getting your information wrong. That’s not my view,” Sanders said.
“What we need is comprehensive immigration reform,” he continued. “If you open the borders, my God, there’s a lot of poverty in this world, and you’re going to have people from all over the world. And I don’t think that’s something that we can do at this point. Can’t do it. So that is not my position.”
