And others…
The Ocasio -Casio progressives are talking about primarying black Democratic lawmakers members…..
Folks?
It is as if the AOC people are working WITH Republicans to weaken the Democratic Party ….
Not just with the black law makers…
But with fights against their parties leadership that could cost Trump district House Democrats THEIR just earned seats….
Congressional Black Caucus members are furious at Justice Democrats, accusing the outside progressive group aligned with firebrand Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) of trying to oust lawmakers of color, specifically African American lawmakers.
Justice Democrats is backing primary challengers to eight-term Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas), a Hispanic Caucus member, and 10-term Rep. Wm. Lacy Clay (D-Mo.), a member of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC). The insurgent group also made noise this year about challenging Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), a CBC member seen as the heir apparent to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
And CBC leaders are fretting that Justice Democrats may target other black lawmakers in the coming weeks and months, including Reps. Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.), Joyce Beatty(D-Ohio), Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) and Anthony Brown (D-Md.). Brown said the group has been making calls in his district, actively trying to recruit a challenger to run against him.
“It just seems strange that the social Democrats seem to be targeting members of the Congressional Black Caucus, individuals who have stood and fought to make sure that African Americans are included and part of this process,” Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-N.Y.), a senior CBC member, told The Hill.
“I don’t know what that agenda is, but if they want to come after members of the Black Caucus, it’s two ways,” warned Meeks, the Queens Democratic Party boss who clashed with Justice Democrats in a local district attorney race last month.
Some Democrats are hoping that Ocasio-Cortez, the rabble-rousing freshman with 4.7 million Twitter followers, gets a primary challenge herself in 2020…..

The Squad seem to be concentrating on safe Democratic districts like their own (AOC defeated Joe Crowley in Queens, while Ayanna Pressley unseated Kevin Capuano in Boston-Cambridge).
This may or may not be good (change happens even within parties, and waiting for open seats through voluntary retirements can take far too long) but at least, whoever wins the primary, such districts will stay within the Democratic caucus.
The other kind of district where the final outcome won’t be affected is a no-hope solid-GOP district. Sometimes the more-moderate-appealing Democrat (by definition not within the Cong. Black Caucus, since not yet elected to Congress) can do better than a sharper, more ideological one, and sometimes worse. It’s often proved true that one kind of candidate actually succeeds after the other kind has lost but laid the framework for a Democratic victory.
What’s far more difficult is the more competitive districts in between. The more-moderate candidate probably has the better chance of flipping the district, although again this hasn’t always proven true.

Pelosi isn’t worried about that….
The policy markers the squad fronts against and seek to primary are surly to be used by GOPer’s against moderate and Trump district Democrats….

she and her squad have every right to say their piece…
But their selfishness isn’t helpful for the party they belong to and need…
