For those who want to know the future of the DC and Marvel Universe’s….
We feature a Amomedia look…..
There is no question that superheroes movies have been trendy for the past decade, and it seems like that is not going to stop anytime soon, even though some famous actors, like Chris Evans, are done with their contracts at Marvel. However, the DCEU is just getting started, the MCU is still going strong, and other studios want to get in on the action. Let’s dive into the productions that might hit the big screen soon.
1. Batgirl – In the works
This is a long-awaited project that is just pulling off the ground. Joss Whedon was initially part of it, but he had to back out. “Batgirl is such an exciting project… that it took me months to realize I really didn’t have a story.” Some fans want Petty Jenkin’s to take over this project after how wonderfully she handled Wonder Woman, or perhaps, another woman in the lead could work as well.
2. Black Widow – Still just a rumor
The MCU brought Black Widow to the screen a long time ago, but it’s surprising that they have yet to work in her solo movie. She has an incredible backstory as a Russian spy who then became an agent for S.H.I.E.L.D., so that would make a fantastic film. At this point, Marvel has allegedly hired someone to write the script, but no confirmation has been issued yet.
3. Cyborg – In production
Cyborg might not have seemed that important in last year’s Justice League, but DC has decided to make a solo movie about him; even actor Ray Fisher confirmed that something was coming in 2020. However, there have no updates or information about the development of the film, but Joe Morton, who plays his father, has said that it will be an origin story.
4. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 – Definitely; maybe
Earlier this year, this movie was a sure thing, and James Gunn was actively updating fans about the productions of the third part. However, Gunn was firedfrom Disney after some political tweets made almost ten years ago caused a stir on Twitter. Due to the pressure from the public, Chairman Alan Horn released a statement.
“The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him.” Fans have been left in the lurge regarding this projects, and we were so looking forward to the possible appearance of Adam Warlock.
