Mueller Report: Block off a good portion of your calendar on Thursday as the Mueller Report (in its redacted form) will drop. The onslaught of fighting over what is excluded will likely cause the release of so much hot air into the atmosphere that the North Pole will be like Miami in July within weeks.
Trump-2020: President Donald Trump (R-MAGA) brought in a boatload of cash in the first quarter primarily from small donors. Trump raised over $30 million and has over $40 million cash on hand. 99% of that MAGA donations came from donors giving under $200. With the average contribution being around $34.
Trump-Taxes: Trump attorneys William S. Consovoy and Stefan Passantino have warned his accountant Mazars USA to not comply with House Oversight Committee subpoena requests for Trump’s tax returns. This drama will likely end up in the courts in short order.
Booker: Senator Cory Booker (D) is rolling out a huge tax credit give away by promising to expand the EITC to singles making $54,000 a year and couples making $90,000 a year. Also part of his massive giveaway is raising the EITC amount by 25%. No word if anyone cares about this policy proposal or not as Booker continues to languish in the polls.
Emerson: We have a national poll where Senator Bernie Sanders (Millionaire Socialist) leads in the Democratic primary. Of course it is Emerson so it is suspect as can be, by the poll has Sanders at 29, former Vice President Joe Biden at 24, South Bend Mayor and flavor of the month Pete Buttigieg at 9, and former Congressman Beto O’Rourke and Senator Kamala Harris at 8 each.
Harris: Senator Kamala Harris (D) raised the second most of any Democratic candidate so far, $13.2 million, during the first quarter. Harris’ haul includes a lot of donations from the Hollywood crowd.
Weld: Former Massachusetts Governor and perennial gadfly William Weld (R-D-L-R?) announced his quixotic primary challenge to President Trump.
Goldman Sachs: The investment bank believes that President Trump holds the cards for his reelection bid. While he is polling in the meh territory, Trump does seem to have a lot going for him with the freak show known as the Democratic primary….
