Here we go…..
There will be no second 2019 Government shutdown…
But?
Donald Trump is gonna still go after his border wall money from the American taxpayer, by going around Congress…
(The bill restores a 1.9% pay raise for government employees that Trump cut)…
The big bipartisan government funding deal is going to become law, but it will be far from the end of the battle between President Donald Trump and members of Congress over border security.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed Thursday that President Donald Trump intends to sign the spending conference report, as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell had indicated.
“President Trump will sign the government funding bill, and as he has stated before, he will also take other executive action – including a national emergency – to ensure we stop the national security and humanitarian crisis at the border,” she said. “The President is once again delivering on his promise to build the wall, protect the border, and secure our great country.”
The confirmation from the White House spokeswoman came after McConnell, a Kentucky Republican, said Trump had told him that he would sign the government spending conference report into law, along with the emergency declaration.
“I had an opportunity to speak with President Trump and he, I would say to all my colleagues, has indicated he’s prepared to sign the bill,” McConnell said on the Senate floor. “He also will be issuing a national emergency declaration at the same time. I indicated I’m going to support the national emergency declaration.”
With the assurances that Trump would put his signature on the appropriations package, the Senate quickly moved ahead with floor votes, starting with a vote on a motion to limit debate on the conference report.
Following the McConnell announcement, Speaker Nancy Pelosi confirmed that the $333 billion, seven-bill appropriations package to finish off fiscal 2019, would move ahead in the House later Thursday, as well.
“We’ll vote on it later today,” the California Democrat said of a the fiscal 2019 appropriations package. “So that’s real progress for us to have left it to the appropriators to make the decisions.”…..
In opting to declare a national emergency, Mr. Trump would seek to access funds for the wall that Congress had not explicitly authorized for the purpose, a provocative move that would test the bounds of presidential authority in a time of divided government. Legal experts have said Mr. Trump has a plausible case that he can take such action under current law, but it would almost surely prompt a court challenge from critics arguing that he is usurping two centuries of congressional control over spending…..
Note…
The budget bill will prohibit Trump from spending any money on a new border wall….
A national emergency move would have Trump ordering the US Army to handle the supervision of building a wall of Trump design, this going around Congress which sure to general legal action ….
Conservative’s have been against this, fearing the same tactic could used by a Democratic President to go around Republicans in. Congress…

For over 350 years, a bedrock of the Anglo-American parliamentary has been that the power of the purse rests with the people’s representatives in Parliament or Congress, and that they control how (and how much) money is spent, as well as how (and by how much) it is raised. This issue, as much as any other, provoked both the English Civil Wars of the 17th Century and the American Revolution of the 18th.
But in one sense, Donald Trump has won. All the attention has been fixated on him, and almost nowhere else, for over two months now.

Maybe….
He took a hit from Pelosi, who had Republican lawmakers Akers join HER not him in N OT giving him wall money…
But the daily media screams that Pelosi won set the stage for the national emer call I guess….
The fact is several President t’s HAVE def the national emergency thing in the past….
Congress can probably find ways to hamstring his efforts to get around them….
Yea he HAS gotten attention….
But if he is still begging for a wall?
On THAT I see him as a loser and the American system of government t working…
This wall thing will continue un til the day he leaves office….
Remember…
Thew border is almost 2,000 miles…
Trump is talking about less than 200 miles…
It’s just a perception thing
